Welcome to the club Tom Richards who signs after a short spell at Walton Casuals.

Tom has played for AFC Wimbledon and Aldershot along with a short spell in Austria this season.

Looks like a left sided midfielder.

This is according to the Welling United facebook page.

I think he has played left back all his career, other than his last two games for Walton Casuals

I am glad he wasn't playing left back for Walton Casuals in their last game (a 3-7 home defeat!)

Given that MG wants his back four to all be a decent size (or at least that was part of the reason given for releasing Barney as I recall) and this fella is only 5' 7"and the fact that the current left back has been playing a lot better of late, I would suggest that Tom Richards will be employed a little further forward for us.

Good luck to the lad whilst he is with us.

I'm sure he will be a perfect solution should Nanetti move to Cork.
Hopefully he won't waste too much possession due to trying to take on his opponents at every opportunity.

Hopefully he can also win 4 penalties in consecutive games as the Italian winger did.
