Raising off-field income is completely meaningless if you don't get value for it, something we haven't had in any way shape or form. It's far better to spend £200pw on a player who will give you £200pw performances than £500pw on one who gives £100pw performances.

On the money we are paying out this season anything short of the play-offs is abject failure.
