I'm assuming that Sutton have put in a 7 day approach and Adam has agreed terms with them. In the meantime he is still able to play for Welling United. There again I'm probably wrong
Can't comment on the game as I wasn't there but forgive me if I don't get too excited about a scrambled point against a team who had lost 12 out of 14 games at home and scored a paltry 21 goals in 29 games before last night.
Once again the imbalance of the squad rears its ugly head. One centre half unavailable and we have to move our best midfielder (and a potential goal threat) back to cover his absence. A bench consisting of a sub keeper, a centre forward (allegedly) and the obligatory three wingers?! And if Archie Johnson is considered to be 87th choice from the 87 wingers we currently have in the squad then wouldn't it make more sense to send him out on loan somewhere in Ryman North/South to get some proper game time?? Now Hatton is presumably going to get a three game ban so I expect we will sign another winger to compensate for his absence...
We are not out of the woods yet this season and with Coombes gone we will need to be much tighter at the other end to win games.

Storford should of been 5-1 up before we got our lucky goal, the chances they missed harry redknapps wife could of scored.
I make that 3 tuesday night games in a row (hungerford, st albans and now stortford) that waldren has had to play Cb. Lea**** had a home emergency concerning his daughter but i dont know whats up with hayles, like you say gav we'll prob sign another winger.
The draw once again just papers over the cracks, we should be beating them but offered no real threat at all and every time they went forward it was squecky bum time.

Hayles had food poisoning according to the post match interview.
A family emergency clearly can't be helped but this lack of defensive cover has been apparent for months and nothing has been done to address it. As I have said before it also means that the back four that does play week in week out is under absolutely no pressure to perform as they will be playing in the next game regardless.
Our best hope for next season is Gillingham getting relegated...
Harry wheeler cam never make his mind up, starts off we wasnt good enough and didnt show character or enough fight, then describes (as he does most werks) as hard working honest lads. Apparently Hatton gives his all every week....no wonder we get below par performances out of him if hes being told that

Many managers say different things in public to what they say to the players in private. Whether the Welling management team (where have I used that phrase before?) do that, I don't know.
What I do know is that playing lots of players out of position is a recipe for disaster.
