That was ****.
it was mentioned by someone after the Poole game where the next outfield goal would come from.
This game bolstered that statement.
OK, there top of the league, but we were appalling.(Waldron exempt).
Mr Goldberg stated he wanted to keep eight of this squad for next season.
I also think he said 7 or 8. My guess would be keeper, back four plus Waldron and Fuseni. If we get centre back cover, left and right midfield sorted plus someone up with Cathline we'll compete much more next season. Need a manager/coach though who can get the team performing.
We were 2 0 down before any injuries so thats no excuse..poor performance, if players dont want to play fir a new deal then dont give them one. MG needs to be ruthless. Im not even sure what 8 we would keep, i can only name 4 who deserve it.
Wasn't there on Saturday so can't give you the benefit of my wisdom on the game!
Based on the respective seasons thus far it was inconceivable that we would get anything from a team that is unbeaten at home all season and has conceded only 7 league goals at home as well. What should be more of a worry is the fact that we took 2 points from the previous three away games against teams all lower than us in the table...
Like some others I am mystified who the 8 or 9 "lucky" people are that MG is looking to keep on for next season. Cathline is obviously one he likes but I was struggling to get past about 3 or 4 in truth!
When we were last at this level we gradually built a team that finished 6th, 3rd and then 1st. Whilst that squad clearly had ability it also had lots of character, good attitude and were physically and mentally strong. With a few honourable exceptions I am afraid that I don't see those traits in most of this current group...
LEWINGTON, FISH, BROWN, HAYLES, FRANCIS??, LEA****??, FUSEINI??, WALDREN, CRAWFORD?? Well thats my 9 but with 4 big ??s who agrees/disagrees & have i missed anyone, i did not include Cathline has to be fair he needs a few more games but not overly impressed so far.

Lewington, Brown (didn't think i would say that a few months ago), Waldren, erm......er.....mmm....er....
All three centre halves are the wrong side of 30 and all seem to pick up more than the odd injury. If I had to keep one then maybe Hayles although Lea**** with his background and experience could help bring through younger players in that position...??
I know we haven't had the best season so far but don't think that losing at the league leaders warrants too much doom and gloom. They put in a great performance against a play off contender last Saturday and have had a few decent games recently.
Yes, we've been poor but have see a big improvement on the start of the season.
I have to agree, we were playing the top side, having lost our main goal scorer, away from home. Given our performances this season could anyone realistically expect anything other than a defeat? I know we've done well against other "higher" teams at times, but they have been one off cup games.
our problem was not the defeat at Maidenhead, but failing to win the recent matches against teams around us in the league.
If we want to be where Maidenhead are now, then this squad needs ditching, this is by far the worst collection of players for many a year. This group of players have been assembled by mr Goldberg and put on wages many of them don't deserve.
Watch all 3 of the goals on maidenheads twitter page. Not one of them were because they are a great team. 3 cases of not of not enough commitment, all 3 goals easily avoidable.
Just nobody with the heart or belief to actually do anything about it.
Thats the first time ive seen francis attempt to get his shirt dirty this season and it resulted in a injury!
Given even the worst teams can find one day where everything clicks and they beat you, losing is not the problem, it is how you do it. If you turn up thinking something is inevitable then it most certainly will be!
I will not be at Eastbourne to see whether the same attitude persists. A 380 mile weekday round trip has enough other unpleasant inevitabilities without risking exposing myself to that one again.
I would have lewington, brown, fish and hayles and waldren...crawford on less money, PJD on a pay as you play basis.
That's a good list including the terms!
Our away performances have been pretty desperate on the whole post Daisy/Coombes.
Re. Maidenhead it's not so much the result but not turning up which hurts same as Whitehawk.
Overall, with a few notable exceptions, this squad is not good enough to compete in the top half of this League which a is poor return for the budget expended.
