Hello,

At this Friday's game you will be able to vote for your player of the season. Please head to the WUSA desk outside the club shop to cast your vote.

The results will be announced at the end of season presentation where the winners will be presented with their trophy's.

Agree, Coombes goals may have won the matches, but Lewington has made so many great saves it's "no contest" as far as I'm concerned.

Coombes gets my vote (as Beautyman did despite leaving us in November of that particular season!)

Couldn't argue if Lewington won it though.

Only three players in contention.

Lewington, Waldren and Coombes.

Given some will not (rightly or wrongly) vote for Adam as he left and did not sign a contract, it will be between Lewington and Waldren.

1st Lewington
2nd Waldren
3rd Coombes

I think Hayles has done pretty well myself (home games anyway).

I applaud Waldren for effort but am otherwise not entirely convinced.

As previously observed Lewington, then perm Coombes and Waldren.

I don't understand this bit about leaving making you ineligible. If you started out in August, played till April, played 60 games and scored a goal in 25 you'd probably get player of the season even if you had been mediocre to crap in the other 35. How is that more eligible than starting in September, leaving in March scoring 30 plus goals and by definition not playing crap for us in the rest of the season! Add to the fact those goals have played a substantial part in us surviving.

This is also the third year running we can also have a contested manager of the season award...
