I understand that Billy Thurston of the Under 18's played the 2nd half of this match and did well.  This was the first outing together for the side and their management was really pleased with the performance of the squad, particularly as Charlton a strong team from their Academy which including a certain Onome Sodje.

For those interested there is a match report at  http://www.cafc.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=23682&newstype=y

I thought young Mr Sodje was on loan to another club at the moment? Beware of young Billy playing against such teams, they will snap him up until your club has a decent Youth Policy that will keep young talented players for the future.

I would hope that we sent someone to the game knowing that Billy was down to play.  I know he played in the full games in the KSC win at Chatham and the Bromley farce and Ade would have had a chance to look at him but playing at his level against a pro club academy side has to give a much better measurement of his potential.
