As understood from what Polo said yesterday under a different thread Sam Corne is no longer with the club. I'm just so interested in why he has left not so long after getting him back. I was lead to believe that he was meant to be singing a contract with us around the same time as Ben Jefford.
Now personally I very much like Sam Corne and along with many other fans and was disappointed to hear that last summer he was let go to Braintree Town. I thought he was one of our best players during our spell in the National League, he could play in most areas of the midfield and other positions as well if needed too. So with that said why to get rid of a very good player, especially someones that knows the club well?
Jamie Coyle, on camera, said Sam was no longer a trialist and had indicated that he would sign. I wonder what circumstances led to him not signing? Still, we press on but, frankly, I would rather Sam was with us than, possibly, one of our rivals.
Could be a number of different reasons, someone else has become available, the signing of Nanetti, the club thinking that they have midfield covered? It is a shame as I do like Sam and I think he is a very good player but the club must have had their reasons.
Whatever the reasons Jamie Coyle and his team have made that decision and it should be respected. In Coyle we trust.

Sam played on Tuesday evening for Bexley (Kent Premier) against us and played well. His brother James is Bexley manager and he was just helping out and getting some minutes.
Spoke to him before and after the game, no concrete offers elsewhere yet but its only been a few days.
