i couldn't make the game yesterday so can't comment on it. I'm surprised at the lack of opinions on the game and the new squad. Was it that bad or is it no one can be arsed?

Probably the fact that it was a pre-season game in very hot conditions against a full time third division team with a much larger squad. It would be difficult to make judgements on players in these circumstances.

First half little between the teams to be honest and we acquitted ourselves really well.

Second half with all the changes and the heat and Charlton having a whole new starting Xi and being fitter they were the better side and should have won the game earlier than they did.

All the new players looked decent - keeper made some good saves. No nonsense centre backs, New full backs were quick, both wide midfielders (Mccallum and L'Ghoul did well) Coombes does what Coombes does and took his one clear chance and Goldberg worked very hard. Little and large in midfield with Ijaha and Kissock could be a good combination. No sign of Jebb??

Hard to judge on one hours football against League One opposition but I was very encouraged by what I saw.

 Jack Jebb was ill.
