How that finished 1-1 is beyond me. Should have been 15-1

Because we have two strikers who are well out of form in front of the goal. Id start Pinney, Mc Callum and Mendy on Monday and drop Goldberg, Mills and LGhoul.

L'Ghoul can be very frustraing at times. The substitution for McCallum should have been made earlier.

Paying for selling Coombes and replacing with Mills. Needed to go and spend the wage freed up by selling Coombes and transfer fee on someone whos scoring recently. No doubt its weakened the striker area.

LGhoul definitely didnt have his best game today. Both their fullbacks were more than decent and didnt let him pass them on either side. Cant get my head around Mills yet. Hes putting himself about getting a few opportunities but hasnt had much luck so far. Mind you he was well marshalled today. Quite a few chances and half chances went begging again today. Goldberg should of tried to go around the keeper when in on goal second half and needs to start scoring from those one on one situations. I thought Jack Jebbs delivery was a bit off today too. Overall another game that should of been won on chances, corners and possession. Sooner or later its going to click surely. COYW

Whats the latest with the mystery trialist striker who scored a couple in pre season? Is this dead in the water now? Mark Doig- can u ask Steve King perhaps in one of your post match interviews please? Cheers.

Frustrating but unlike other seasons we are creating. Mills was unlucky and really puts himself about, maybe tries to tee up the perfect shot but if he goes on instinct/first time then Im sure hell get goals. Brad should have gone round the keeper but again he was in the right position. Id be bothered if we only had a couple of chances or couldnt fight back from a goal down by thats not the case. Only my second game of the season but I like McCallum, Kiernan, Kissmock and others. Sure well settle into a good team.

Still trying to get my head around the first eleven, but thought Mills watched the ball rather than create space,
And the number 8 was ****.
Goodnight all.
See you at Canvey.

Well out of form? Goldberg scored at Chippenham and again last Saturday. Yes one was a penalty but he's hardly out of form. I thought Mills ran his socks off today, holding the ball up well and causing the defence problems.. We should have scored a few but we are not playing badly. We got 2 points in the first 9 games last season, it's already looking a lot better.

I agree about starting McCallum, he looked good today, but Pinney could probably manage only a half of football.

Playing good football, if we could score we would be the most dangerous team in this league. I've yet to see a team better than us for Eastbourne we battered nd somehow lost, billericay came into the game but we should of been 3 1 up before they had a sniff, Truro the ref would of played until Xmas if they didn't score and again today by far the better team.
We have a few players who already can't seem to get a look in, maybe time to free the wage and go for a another striker.

Oh and I was starting to warm to brad Goldberg but today's miss is unforgivable I'm afraid, unless he's gonna bang in a hatrick on Monday...too many chances. Not the first time he's fluffed a one on one that easy in the last couple of years.

Disappointed not to take all three points today but still encouraged by the display overall. I really like Mills and his effort is second to none - still thinks if he gets one he will start to get a few. He has scored plenty at this level under the same manager before. I am also a Nassim fan but he was poor today - needs to appreciate players around him more and was almost trying too hard to do something on his own. Kiernan has probably been the stand out signing for me thus far and he has been a threat in every game. Jebb and Kissock worked hard but feel we could do with an extra body in there like Ijaha or Mendy. As others have said Jebb's set pieces were not up to their usual very high standard.  Last but not least a mention to young Banya who did very well on his full home debut.

Whilst we are missing chances we won't win enough football matches. However, lest we forget,  that the three goals we conceded against Truro and Hemel this week were all very much avoidable. Without those mistakes, missed chances or not, we would be sitting here this morning with four more points on the board....

Tough game tomorrow against an in form side. I reckon there will be some further tweaks to the starting XI and formation for that one. Hopefully we will have a good support there to cheer the lads on. Cut out the silly errors and we are more than capable of taking on (and beating) anyone in this division.

Oh and before I forget...thank you Hungerford!

Up the Wings!
