Former management team member, Harry Wheeler, has been appointed manager of Maidstone United until the end of the season. I would have posted in the former players thread but, of course, Harry did not play for us.
What a desperate appointment - they seem to be struggling these days!
Personally I think they were mugs to dispense with the services of long serving Jay Saunders. Quite merciless how he was dumped by owners who at the moment are not backing their supposed ambition (backed up by a healthy supporter base) with enough hard cash.
Wheeler and The Sea Lion should see Maidstone safely back to National South in no time.
Hopeless at St Albans as temporary manager and not much better with us for a short spell and, let's face it, anyone on this forum could have guided Billericay to the Ryman Premier title with the wages being thrown about there.
