Charlton youth game postponed tonight at PVR because of floodlight failure. I saw on Saturday they fired up and went out and they couldn't get them on. With the clocks gone back  let's hope they're fixed for Saturday!

Looks like both clubs are having a natter with the National League tomorrow. I wonder whether the fixture will be moved back to 10th November as we both have a date available having been knocked out of the Cup? Or maybe a double header with us playing at Wealdstone Saturday and at home against them the following week? Or are we being pushed to stage it at another venue?

Wealdstone have confirmed on their website kickoff will be 13.00 due to a fire in one of the floodlight pylons.

Assumed it was just a natter so the league can rubber stamp the KO change. Better to get games played in my opinion and a 1pm is no big deal for a local (ish) team, not enough to get another venue or date in the diary. Could have been a problem if Truro or Torquay were the opponents though.

Yep, probably the case. I reckon we could have had a reasonable crowd if it was put back a week though. I wonder whether it is the same floodlight pylon we had problems with a couple of years or so ago? Also we don't know how long the problem is going to take to fix and get the necessary clearance. Could be an expensive job.

The hordes from Weston who will have already booked train tickets won't be happy.

Just read online that Southend v Charlton Athletic FA Youth Cup will be played on Wednesday November 21 at Welling United, with a 7.30pm kick off...so hopefully plans afoot to get it fixed.

Just went past the club and the next game is showing as
Welling vs Westons mare ko 15:00

Now not being rude but I don't really think that WSM are a bunch of donkeys
