In the second half, their #5 (who had already been booked) took down Nas in full flight. Clear second booking, but got away with it.
What might have been missed was that Nas needed medical attention and the referee insisted (as the player had not been booked) he left the field and was only able to rejoin after 15/20 seconds of the free kick being taken. Soon after there was a penalty appeal when their #2 and Danny Mill ended up on the floor - I didn't see it, to be honest, and the referee gave a goal kick. Their #2 needed medical attention, so had to leave the pitch. Before the goal kick was taken their #5 (from the first incident) was withdrawn and substituted. What the referee didn't notice was that the #2 then came back on, when he should have been made to wait the same 15/20 seconds.
The referee "lost it". Dulwich suffered some peculiar decisions (specifically over-ruling the correct throw in decision by the assistants), but we got the butt end of the major incidents and on some bookings.
3 Major decisions went against us last night. The definite second yellow card and the two penalties. Infuriating, especially after we were cheated in the original game on Saturday.
However too many players had poor games especially our forward players. Our wingers and full backs failed to put in any decent crosses of note. And Paterson does n't seem able to anticipate where the ball is going to fall from Mills' flick on's. I'm looking forward to the return of Gavin McCullum. I'd play him up front with Mills.
The bonus last night was the return of Richard Orlu. He had a great game.

Financially, last night's Trophy exit has cost us - but it may have done us a favour too: fewer fixtures to fit in, especially if the winter weather turns inclement and fewer chances of picking up injuries. I was unable to be at either Dulwich match because of illness, indeed it may be a little while before I can rejoin the fray, but it does seem that we were on the wrong end of some debatable if not poor decisions, indeed the referee owned up to an error in the first match which took us to a replay.
I don't think having a go at Hamlet and their fans serves any purpose, although I am somewhat perturbed by the outbreak of "holier than thou" postings on the DHFC forum. I remember years ago when Bexleyheath and Welling were in the good old Southern League but we were still looked down upon by these old-established former amateur clubs who knew a decent blazer when they saw one. I think there is still an element of that snobbery today.
