During these tough times (money wise) isnt it time to join WUSA attend the meetings or at least put in writing ideas of raising funds  or putting the name of Welling United out in the public. Nowhere in the high street do we see anything relating to the Wings

If the club can't do that themselves then what motivation is there for anyone else to do so....
It relies on volunteers who haven't always got the time to do things like walking up the high street doing posters which with all due respect is not going to attract 200 more people.

Sk and the board have commented recently about this but the later is doing f-all to change it. They are the ones losing money, do maybe it's time for a bit more effort.

I don't think that until a new ground is built which will attract people due to the facilities and covered ends etc that attendances will ever go up much anyway.
A roof over your head doesn't seem a lot to the hardened who have been around non league but it does to new fans or ones who don't go charlton/Millwall or any other London clubs away games hence they go to dirtford, Bromley and even ebbsfleet instead.

And to add to that, every club has a supporters association but they don't all get relied apon when their clubs in the **** like ours does...

WUSA bailing out the club far to often at the moment like it's the norm thing to do, the club needs to start sorting **** out themselves or it will keep happening until wusa cannot do it anymore.
To put a analogy to it it's like the bloke at work who does loads of overtime every month but when that overtime dries up he realises then that he's been living beyond his means and can no longer afford to pay the bills.

Only thing id recommend is a lottery syndicate in hope of winning 97m and sorting the club out ourselves, cos there is more chance of that than the club doing anything.

Very well said Jamison. Since Paul White departed, there has been no commercial replacement and the club don't seem to be doing a good job themselves of advertising matches and creating offers. This is the club after all who reduced admission by £2 for football league/prem season ticket holders on non league day - £2!!!!!!! Says it all really.

the reduced ticket prices for the club are a bad idea financially anyway - never attract any extra fans but the club gets less money from ticket sales

Goldbergs business is recruitment so recruiting a really good commercial manager should be within his skill set. Its all been left to Chris Roots to try and drum up commercial interest. I havent seen much drumming or initiatives.
We also have a community officer now so hopefully we are getting out to the community and schools and having an impact.

On a separate note why has the academy got a website when its never been updated and no fixtures or results are there? We need to shape up in all fronts. Its lazy all round from those in position.

My daughter attends nearby Sherwood Park Primary School and we've received no commercial info from the club.
