Great result against a very competent, organised and dangerous team....and thought they came to play sporting football....defensively they were superlative and we didn't win a header first half....second half we played the game on the floor and managed to squeeze a result.................super happy.......big up to their mgt team who were super professional and realistic for most of the game.....despite the normal deserved abuse from our fans :)))))
Real strength and character for to come back and win. But we really need to start stronger at home. Going a goal down leaves us vulnerable to away team doing a Concord on us.
Gavin McCallum changed the game in our favour with some effective crosses.
We continue to be poor with set piece deliveries.
It didnt quite happen for Jack Barham but Id keep faith with him up with Millsy.
Roll on Dulwich in the derby.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh When the Wingssssss
Ive never heard a team scream like a bunch of little girls for so many decisions. Decisions that obviously werent anywhere near going their way. They were quick on the break first half and could have been a couple up without those antics. Some of the offside appeals were ludicrous but with the inept referee and linos it was probably worth a go. Weve seen some awful referring this season but last night had to be the worst and he set his stall out in the first half when he allowed himself to be spoken to by three Chippenham players before actually talking to the offender! The abuse from the terracing you cant condone when its full of every swear word known to man but with officials like that you can understand why it happens.
Great fightback but the first 25 minutes was the sloppiest football ever. Just glad we turned it around as players like Mills doesnt deserve to be on a losing side. Second half were improved performances all round but we just need to start games like that.
What makes you think that? My view was that Josh Hill headed it goalwards, it hit a defender and looped over the goalkeeper and in. If you take that one away from Josh Hill, you'll have to reduce Malcolm MacDonald's career goals for your number one team by around 75%.
Pretty much agree with the later posts.
Awful first half and didn't appear to be interested.
The McCallum substitution made all the difference.
Jack has a good engine on him.
Prepared to chase down everything. he needs time to bed. Would have him over Goldberg.
Just don't get it how a team are prepared to time waste with another half to go.
That grates on me, along with $hit referees.
He was far too prim and proper for this level of football.
Players at this level need to be spoken to like blokes who you work alongside, not what the text in the FA book teaches you.
One of the best referees i have seen over PVR for the past couple of seasons was the little dumpy Greek bloke.
Decisions bang on, and got the players (and supporters) respect from the off.
Just listening to Steve King's post match comments..he sounds like a bloke who's ready to move on.apparently couple more players have to go and to me he seems to be ready to throw the towel in..

You clearly didn't attend the Woking game a few weeks back then...?!
Pleased with the result especially after such a lethargic performance for the first half hour. We were lucky to only be one behind at that stage and they were getting loads of space particularly down our right hand side time and time again as they did for their goal. Whilst the defence was being stretched they were getting precious little support ahead of them especially from the two wide midfielders in the first half. Not quite sure how Kiernan got man of the match - yes he improved second half and scored the first goal but he could have scarcely looked more disinterested than he did in the first period. The other wide lad Mcleod has some pace but too often ran up blind alleys and had no awareness of what was going on around him. As others have said Mccallum did make a difference and hopefully L'Ghoul will make an even bigger difference when he finally gets back on the pitch. I thought that the high ball into Mills was a good tactic to use and a few times Barham couldn't quite pick up the second ball - yes we are predominantly a passing team but no problem with mixing it up particularly when your centre forward can win plenty of ball in the air.
Not quite sure why Chippenham started to berate the referee and start the timewasting before half time as they were in control of the game. Had they scored that one on one at the start of the second half then the result would probably have been different. Can't fault the effort of our lads in the second half and their determination to win the game after the equaliser had gone in. I too thought our first goal was looked suspiciously like it might be offside but the officials were clueless all night and perhaps we got the benefit of that?! However once again the set piece delivery was woeful and there is no excuse for constantly hitting the first man - we have Mills, Audel and Hill amongst others and we should be more of a threat with our set plays.
On to Dulwich on Saturday and the away form needs to improve (it can hardly get much worse!) We have all the bottom five sides to play away from PVR starting on Saturday and there is no reason why we can't get positive results against all of them. Yes they are battling to avoid relegation but they are down the bottom of the league for a reason and don't boast a lot of home wins between them. I don't know if we need to change formation and be a bit more conservative but we definitely need to start far better than we did last night...

Down to bare bones and still shedding players. This is so disheartening. I hope we give ourselves a chance with player availability for the Torquay game which should attract a reasonable crowd. Attendances have been poor, even when we were doing even better, that cannot be denied. We desperately need the bounce factor of a new stadium on a new site.
My big worry now is the downbeat message from SK, obviously the failures to gain any real income from the cup competitions has now left him bereft of players. without a big injection of finance we will not be successful in the playoffs and certainly couldnt survive in the National league, so what does SK now hope to achieve if he sees out his contract and stays with us next year? Hes certainly the best manager weve had in many years but needs the tools to do the job.

Spot on, Old Oak. Time for a big lottery win methinks! If, as it seems, no money can be raised to compete for the rest of the season, it does not sound particularly hopeful that the wherewithal to compete next season will be available without a great deal of effort.
Awful first half, but ground out a good win in the end. Team selection is limited but SK has what he has and the substitutions did make the difference.
Countless chances wasted (on both sides) but not having an out and out striker in the Coombes/Paterson mould really shows the difference of challenging or not.
End of the day three massive points and well done to one and all for their tireless efforts.
