My big worry now is the downbeat message from SK, obviously the failures to gain any real income from the cup competitions has now left him bereft of players. without a big injection of finance we will not be successful in the playoffs and certainly couldnt survive in the National league, so what does SK now hope to achieve if he sees out his contract and stays with us next year? Hes certainly the best manager weve had in many years but needs the tools to do the job.
We earned £24k from getting through two rounds of the FA Cup this season - a lot more than we have earned in previous years for winning two games....
Yes it is hard to do the job with one hand tied behind your back but we can't live beyond our means. SK has proved to be a good manager at this level for some years and is a vast improvement on some of the clowns we have had in the dugout over recent years. A lot of that success has been based around having good financial backing and we haven't got that at the moment so he needs to show us how good a manager he can be under more difficult circumstances.
We are in the play off positions at the moment but will be hard pressed to stay there. We need more income away from the pitch and more drive to get people through the gates at PVR and that simply has not happened for a number of years now. Better we still have a club to support at this level than throw money we haven't got at it to try and obtain promotion because, at this time, we are simply not equipped to survive at a higher level.

Valid points, Wingnut. The problem is that a determined surge for mid-table respectability, which is what further player departures could entail, is not going to bring punters to PVR either. Hopefully there is a plan, and hopefully the prospects for ground development could be unveiled to us in greater detail at some stage when information can be given without jeopardising any prospects.
