Oh my word, so proud of this squad and their refusal to roll over no matter what adversity. A real recovery medicine for me from so many recent hospital stays. Thank you boys, so choked with emotion.

Get well soon Geoff!
A fantastic win today in such testing circumstances. I still cant believe that Mills 3 game ban was upheld. But it sounds like Bradley Goldberg and Brendon have stepped up to the mark today along with Montel and Genovensi coming back.
And finally LGhoul is back.
Lets spread the word to pack PVR for our last 4 home games and push for 3rd place and a home play off semi final.
COYW!

What SK his staff and this squad ( Whats left of it ) have done over the last 6 weeks is nothing short of miraculous. Everyone of them turns up each match and puts in a shift with overtime. I cant praise this lot enough. Absolute heroes one and all. That was a crucial game today and our budget reduced, injury ravaged, suspension depleted squad ( whats left of it ) came through it with flying colours. Mr Goldberg should finds some dosh and give them all a bonus. SK deserves a medal of honour for pulling the squad (whats left of it) through these last few weeks. COYW.
Kevin Fenlon and I attended the match today and on the train home came to the conclusion that, given the circumstances we find ourselves in, that was the performance of the season and indeed of many a season. At one nil down, with another injury after 9 mins, our backs were to the wall and we feared the worse, however, by sheer commitment and a never say die attitude we turned it around and produced the performance we saw today. We had a happy journey home and must pay tribute to both the team and management, we are proud of you to today and, hopefully, you can take the momentum through to next Saturday.

Super proud of the performance today-against a team that had just won 5-0 and had their tails up....we matched them all over the park and our defence today was just outstanding....just shows what can be achieved with a winning attitude against all odds...750 of them and 50 of us.....and we were the ones going home smiling...brilliant effort boys.....great to see Nas back on the pitch too....... Brilliant result. To beat decent Wealdstone who were unbeaten this year on their home patch is exceptional. To then do that with a threadbare squad who must be tired makes it even better makes it even better. I believe today is one best results this season, and hope MG brings as least 1 more in. Congrats to all.
A mention for Bradley Goldberg. Top notch today. Well done fella.
It seems to me that Bradley is now recovering the form that made him a deadly 20 plus goals a season striker (and what a time for that to happen!) What used to be missed chances are turning into goals and the confidence is back. Long may it continue, a real bonus when team selection has become a parlous state of late. Well done Bradders! Also a special mention for Zac Newton - out on loan for much of the season yet I am hearing he put in a good shift at Harrow in the cup match, and, when called upon yesterday, created havoc with his trickery. Looks like SK's judgement on Zac's development is looking sound.

Hope you are feeling better now Bertie.

Well what an afternoon and what a performance by our lads on Saturday - I am still buzzing at that result!
To be down to 14 men and lose one player in the first few minutes against an in form team who hadn't lost in 2019 and, fresh off the back of a 5-0 away win in the week, that results speaks volumes about our group. I think we started 4-5-1 with Mccallum up front but had to abandon that and put Goldberg and Newton up front and revert to a more familiar 4-4-2. To go behind to a penalty early on we could easily have crumbled but they got stuck in and the young lad Genovesi came to the rescue a couple of times as we weathered the storm. Make no mistake Wealdstone were a decent side going forward and their 7 and 10 in particular looked dangerous and credit to our boys for staying in the game. It was a nice move for the equaliser although Kiernan probably should have finished it himself but a bit of good fortune and it's 1-1. The little and little combination up front wasn't ideal but both of them battle really hard for the cause. They were never going to be able to compete physically all the time but they ran hard, pressured them and put some nice moves together when we got the ball down. Bradley scored a cracker and Newton was involved in the first and third goals and ran his socks off - I was expecting big things from him as he was one of the manager's first signings, but it hasn't really happened for him at PVR (yet) I heard from others that he scored a cracker at Harrow in the week so after this week perhaps that is just the boost he needed.
The second half we seemed to get better and stronger the longer the game went on. Yes we rode our luck a little at 2-1 up but we also hit the woodwork twice and their keeper has pulled off a great save from Goldberg in the second half. To play Audel in midfield was a gamble but he is a good footballer and he was outstanding on Saturday so well done to SK for that decision. I haven't always been an Agyemang fan but he needed to step up on Saturday and after very little football in the last few weeks, he certainly did that. The two wide lads certainly put a shift in (as they nearly always do) and good to see Kiernan back in the goals again. With Nass coming off the bench for the last few minutes we certainly have some good options in wide areas going forward. Well done to Wilks and the back four who probably haven't played together as a unit before but stood up to the pressure throughout. Last but not least the manager who got the very best out of each and every player on Saturday and deserves credit for putting together this run of late - I believe we are top of the form table over the last 5-6 games which is quite incredible!
Another tough game next weekend but I wouldn't put anything past our lot at the moment! I hope plenty of locals turn out for this one to support our lads - they certainly deserve it. They will have good support but, having seen us play them twice, we have nothing to fear and there are an awful lot of positives to take from Saturday into next weekend.
