Must start thinking about next season, Who stays? Who goes?
Do we keep Gledhill bareing in mind he missed lots of games through work and also through suspension? Will he miss lots of games next year? Who do we keep from the strikers? Just Keds? Pinnock and Stadhart underperformed? Keep Bodkin? Release Rob Owen, Carthy and Perkins? We seem to be covered in Central Defence assuming Ashby and Moore Stay. Where is Darren Marsden? Where is Lawson? Keep Danny Moore? WHERE IS JIM CORBETT!!!! Play Offs have gone for this year, we never went for it anyway, no matter what the manager or the club say. We were joint top and they screwed it, in my opinion they let a great opportunity just pass by. BUT they did say they would go for it next season. So lets hope the club make all the right noises and sign a few players and go for it and were not just flanneling us this year.
Who would you keep and who would you say bye bye to? nDo you believe the Club will go for it next season? I will tell you this though, if they club do not go for it and a club come in for Adie, he will go.

Darren Marsden is I think at Herne Bay
Danny Lawson went to Sittingbourne
Jim Corbett – presumably never got match fit

This is a forum for discussing fans views on matters related to WUFC. Any discussion on who fans would like to see at PVR next season is I believe quite valid at this time of the year. The players are professional albeit part time (semi professional in the sporting terminology), we, the supporters pay/contribute substantially to their wages and their activities on the pitch are in the public domain. We therefore have every right to express our views on their performance. Exchanges of opinion on any forum are just that - an exchange of views.
If it is being implied that postings such as this will have a detrimental effect on a players performance in the last 4 matches I would respond by saying that like any other professional person they have to demonstrate their professionalism and rise above what are, after all, just ordinary folks opinions. They should be far more concerned with Ade’s public criticisms in the last week. [Bexley Extra Fri 7 April and post match interview Sat 8 April on the official site]
Whatever views about individual players may be expressed on any forum they will always get my full support when they don the red shirt on match days and I’m sure that goes for others who post on forums, no matter what opinion they express.
"Secondly it will all depend on what the budget is and who Adie wants - not us"
Obviously we, the supporters, do not select players for the Club to sign and the budget determines who they can buy and what wages they can be paid. I’m not sure what your point is. Surely you are not saying that we can’t hold and express our own opinions as to where the side needs strengthening - are you?
"Several names are already in the frame to come to PVR but until they are signed will remain under cover."
And your point is…..
Ahh! Some players won’t have their contracts renewed - Well I’ll go to our house!!!
And you are in the know – if it makes you feel superior then enjoy!!!
Personally, though I’m sure not uniquely, I’m not interested in who might sign but who has signed.
"Compared to the last few seasons we have had a good one this year - We will move onwards and upwards next year"
At last something I can wholeheartedly agree with!!!
What I find interesting about your post Harvey is that the JGFC posting, with the exception his well known, and I believe pretty unique, opinion that he doesn't believe we are going/went for the play offs this season despite what the manager and the club have said , is pretty much what I posted on the 2 April in the Good News thread. In fact I went further during the exchange by listing my opinion of all the players in our squad. Why didn't the comments you have made now appear then

Stating that the club did NOT WANT to go up is plainly ridiculous - There is no point competing if that is the case so lets put that to one side shall we - Adie would NOT have joined if that was the case and YES I have discussed that with him.
Players - Well my view is that we know the players read forums although probably not this one due to the registration - We watch them home and away (Well some of us) and I certainly have my opinions however while they are playing for Welling and I trust trying their hardest then i will keep those views for the terraces. Indeed i see you discussing the same facts on a home saturday but lets get behind the team and not go into writing
Now before you have a go - This is my view of which I am entitled and in a democracy works.
Pity that there are not more than 3 people that use this forum as i would like to hear from other attending supporters but hey ho!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh some nice digs "from an insider" some innuendo , excellent, so we deduce (logically??) that their is a club insider (staff?? super supporter??) who wanted a little ANONYMOUS dig or two.
Ive deleted the rest of my post as its just going over old things, Thanks Harvey for that Well informed, considered opinion after your discussion with Adrian. Nice to know the club is keen on anonymously posting stuff and digging, oh BUT if you arent staff (not hired help/bum licker) then its just your views as an anonymous stirring .....!
Im sure Bruno will be more articulate than i?

Classic!! After the i know all the clubs happenings statement earlier and veiled i am an insider and its all under wraps. I think the Club know if they have someone leaking. Better Buy some security eh. Lets hope Ade gets some Bargains next season eh?? at knock down prices.
Harvey you have a hotmail address, a made up name, have never posted before as a wings "fan" on any other site, THEN you come on here slagging people off and trying to redicule THEM, suggest you a real fan as you are at games, THREE people use this site (erm i will let bruno tell you the figures!) PLUS you hint you know whats going down at PVR.
A quality attitude towards other fans and a billy big bollox stance hasnt exactly shown you as "just a supporter"
Frankly i think your on an anonymous dig/wind up. Well played that man. But you are about 3 years too late to have a dig. The damage has been done by others before you waded in with your snide comments.
Come on who are you, people know me and Bruno has been around for years and is known to the club too. Hardly anonymous.
QUALITY as i said, and just so i dont get drawn in by another superfan/club arselicker/ brown nose or any one else i will not respond further to your anonymous SHIT
That is why THREE People use Welling forums now because of People like you... "i'm this , Your that, dig dig snide comments.................." YAWNNNNNNNNNNNN!! Have some balls say who you are , fair do's you will be the first to do so. Other than Brand Number 7 (i respect him at least for having a pop under a name i know...) Shame the other snidey **** stirrers chose anonymity to achieve or TRY to achieve their goals. (But fail).
Harvey Splosh?? Total Tosh!

Just logged on after 2 days downtime while I recover information following a PC crash and WWIII breaks out! Let's calm down folks.
Harvey, I was not and am not criticising you for having an opinion it was just very hard to make out what opinion you were trying to express and I had to guess. Its very difficult to have a reasoned exchange of views when you are having to guess what is meant by the other party. I think I did a pretty good job from what you included in your response.
The whole point of forums is for supporters to share views and hopefully engage in reasoned debate, which is what substantially happens on this forum. As far as players reading football forums goes I have to agree that many probably do indeed visit them and I know that several past Welling players certainly used to visit this forum. I have no reason to doubt that there are current players who view the forum (which doesn’t require registration) but it would be extremely unlikely that any current player would post on any forum. I can see no problem with players knowing what individual supporters think of their performances on the park and I'm sure they are man enough to accept criticism as well as praise. Nobody has come on the forum which they could easily have done (till now in the cause of substantiating a viewpoint) and repeated and/or expanded on Ade's public statements about a player with a discipline problem costing us 3 vital points at Lewes. I would have understood your stance a bit more had something like this occurred though I would have defended any posters right to do so and would have regarded it as having far less potential in terms of lowering morale than Ade's honest and open public statement for which I have nothing but admiration.
As far as this forum goes your comment about the number of people that use the forum is somewhat at divergence with the facts. The reality of the last month’s activity (and the facts are there for all to see) is as follows:
Main Forum: 28 threads comprised of 93 posts. 5.109 viewings and 16 posters (including your good self)
Youth Forum: 13 threads comprised of 40 posts. 802 viewings and 10 posters.
A very different picture to that which you paint.
Obviously the more people actually posting the better but I think there is a great significance in the viewing figure. I know that there are some out there who take great delight in printing off anything negative or that they construe to be negative for circulation, but as you say Hey Ho!
I have to say that you didn’t respond to my question about why you reacted to this particular post but not mine of a week and a bit before. Taking on board your stated concerns about player sensitivity the Good News thread which I started was far more detailed. It does make one wonder whether rather than a genuine concern it had more to do with the thankfully now sporadic anonymous sniping at the originator of this thread provoking the type of response that eventually arrived.
JGFC, both feet again I'm afraid.
Harvey, If you are, as stated, a home and away supporter and you visit this site, its stretches the bounds of credibility that you do not know about JGFC and his pretty unique views on certain matters even though like me you probably don’t know him personally. I am also curious about the timing.
In closing I have to ask another question of you. What is the significance in your comments “We watch them home and away (Well some of us)” and “Indeed I see you commenting on the same facts on a home Saturday”?
