Anyone else going to the London Senior Cup final? Im planning to go if I can get away from work in true glory hunting fashion without attending any previous rounds. In fact Ive not been to London senior cup match for years.
No offence to Wingate and Finchley but not a good choice to play the final. We saw a good attendance years back when we played the Kent Senior Cup at home but a neutral venue will dent a good attendance. I could be wrong but whatever the crowd its still silverwear and maybe a good boost going into the last few games.
Best of luck to those that are going, Im not unfortunately, but hopefully well get a positive result. Pleased to hear SK say hes going to safeguard the players who started on Saturday and give the rest of the squad a good run out. That should put all the players in the best possible condition for next Saturday and the main focus - hanging onto that 3rd spot.

The bandwagon is revving up!! How many people went to both Corinthian-Casuals and Harrow Borough other than players and management?
Wish I could have gone tonight, but had no chance due to the location and looking after the kids. Been to eight games this season, six wins and two draws - and should have won both draws. Hopefully saving my lucky omen status for the playoffs.
This squad thoroughly deserved a bit of Silverware for all the brilliant effort theyve made during the season. Big game now on Saturday Come on you Wings.

Exactly right. Delighted for the players. 4 more cup finals left now. SK probably has overturning Woking in second in his sights now, even if he won't say so publicly. Up the Wings.
Fantastic win, just a shame that it was n't at PVR.
Some fantastic performances most notably Wilkes, the two centre backs and Agyemang. We look to have real competition for places. There seems to be a winning mentality.
Champions!

Enjoyed the game on Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised how many glory hunters (sorry Welling fans) made it to the game despite the ridiculous location bearing in mind the two finalists.
Having been running with a reduced squad it was good to see subs and fringe players and those coming back from injury playing a part with only three starters from the Bath game. I thought Brentford were the better side for 20-25 minutes and we were struggling to deal with them at times but once we got to grips with their movement, we controlled them quite comfortably and they only really created a few half chances late in the second half when they threw more bodies forward and some of our lads were tiring a bit. These young pros always give us a decent game but some of their lads need to grow up a little (and quickly) especially if they go out on loan to Leagues One and Two or National League clubs in the future.
Some good displays from our lads and people putting their hand up to be in the squad at Slough on Saturday. I though the back four did well with three experienced players and young Genovesi who I felt was rather unlucky to be left out for the Bath game after his performances of late and he did well again. A different formation in midfield with three in the middle and that took a while for that to settle down. Rooney clearly needed a game but showed some really nice touches especially with a couple of crosses. Great to see L'Ghoul on the pitch although he seemed a bit reluctant to take people on and wasn't quite the Nass of old - I hope that will come with more game time as he could be a huge asset in the games ahead. Good to see Mo get off the mark as well although he should have buried the first header in truth, he was alive to the rebound and put it away. Another player that will clearly benefit from the ninety minutes and definitely offers a different option to the other strikers we have.
A good night all round and hopefully the first of two trophies we can lift this season...
