Unlucky lads, can't win them all but you had a bloody good go. Third place still up for grabs, about time we gave Chelmsford some grief.  It could be worse, we could be Dartford! By my reckoning we are guaranteed at least a play-off position already.

Yes we should be in the playoffs now and looking at the remaining matches we should stay 3rd if we can get a result on Friday.

I think we were all going for 3rd with Torquay and Woking in this league. Also no one knew what Billericay would do next like try and buy messi, instead theyve bottomed out.
Its a great achievment if you get 3rd and the way its going we will not be joining you.

A very very good run comes to an end. Bad luck lads. Regroup and go again Friday. Top top group of players.

Thought the change with L,ghoul for McCallum was harsh to be fair.
Thought McCallum has shed a bit of timber and was part of a side that has put a decent run together.
To lose his place, then not get a look in when L, ghoul got taken off was probably a bitter pill for him to swallow.
I was informed that Bettamer had a decent game in the cup final.
In my opinion, never brought anything to the table today.
We seemed to be looking to pick out Mills at every opportunity, and that played into Staines hands, as they worked well to snuff that threat out. Thought they were a well drilled side, and apart from the deflected goal, thought my pre match prediction of a no score draw was home and hosed.
Personally, following our recent forced changes, would like to see Audel play a more forward role.
The bloke is probably the best finisher we have.
You can't win them all and to get back home playing on grass will be a blessing.
Chelmsford can be a tough physical team. We can't afford to lose our heads like our captain did today (at least I think it was him who threw the player to the floor).
Women referees? Brexit permantly delayed, don't get me started.
Here's to a sunny good Friday and hopefully 3 points.

Also hear that Jebb has been lacing his boots up.

Bettamer did have a good game in the London cup the other night but maybe it was too many changes over the past couple of games?

We never got the ball in attacking areas and neither team looked like they had goals in them. Hopefully just this blip for the run in.

As long as we secure 3rd this type of reality check might help re-focus us going into final games and playoffs. Its been a great run under trying circumstances and now let's secure a worthy 3rd place

All good things must come to an end and we have been superb in getting points no matter what the opposition. Yesterday had all the hallmarks of a nailed on goalless draw, which it would have been but for a twenty five yarder which Dan seem to have covered but for a deflection. SK obviously knows more than I do about picking a football team but I was more than a little suprised that two central defenders were on the bench and somebody who can change the game ( Justin Arnu) was sitting behind me in the stand. IMO Nassim L does not appear to be fit either physically or mentally and lets hope he gets his mojo back for what will be an interesting couple of weeks. We have nothing to fear and now have the strength in depth to take on anybody in this league.

B surprised if Nassim starts next game given nature of game & type opponent. Otherwise believe SK will try give him plenty game time to help fitness/ confidence before play-offs

Well the run had to end some time and Saturday was the day. Not going to get too down about it after we have nicked turned draws into wins ourselves lately and this time it went against us. As the manager alluded to in his interview it looked like it had 0-0 written all over it with defences on tops at both ends.

I was a little surprised to see a few changes from the Bath starting XI but maybe SK wanted to just freshen it up a little and maybe the plastic pitch had something to do with selection as well..?? Orlu had a decent game but I was hoping for more from both Bettamer and L'Ghoul starting the game although that may be a bit harsh on the latter after very little football for three months. He got 70+ minutes in the week and another 50+ on Saturday and still has a big part to play in the run in for me. Only when we changed the shape from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 after the changes did we start to do a little better in my opinion. The two big lads in front of the back four have served us well all season but maybe Saturday wasn't the game for them on that surface when we need to move the ball a little earlier and quicker. When Rooney came on and played a "quarterback" role did we start to take a little bit of control of the game and, ironically, they scored after I felt we were getting on top. We huffed and puffed but too often took the wrong option and didn't release the ball at the right time. We would have deserved a point but then again we probably only deserved a point last week against Bath. We just seemed a little off the pace in forward areas throughout and were not winning enough headers or second balls to build any concerted pressure.  Last but not least a little nod from me to Audel - I am not sure I have seen a better footballing centre half at this level and he continues to play well week in week out - I know forwards usually get the plaudits and awards but, based on the whole season, he will be getting my player of the season vote for sure.

A huge Easter weekend and almost a shoot out for third place on PVR which I hope draws a big crowd. No reason to fear anyone at PVR - we beat the Champions comfortably a little while back and we destroyed Woking for three quarters of that game so hopefully we can carry those performances in to Friday and try and secure that third place finish which would be a real advantage for the play offs.

Up the Wings!

Apologies for the font - not sure what happened there?!
