Concord thrown out of playoffs due to ground grading.
The team who finish 4th now get a bye and play us, now I know it's a little bit funny but in reality the team who finish 4th also get extra time to prepare and avoid any injuries or suspensions that may occur.
They installed new seats too during the season. They were told weeks ago but never told the players . Can see players walking out. Made a mockery of the play offs.
Can see Moore and Midson leaving too

Cannot see why the 8th place side wasnt moved up to keep the right number of teams in the playoffs, all looks a bit strange now with Concord apparently moved to 7th.

It's quite ridiculous that there are six clubs in the play offs already - Braintree were promoted from 6th last year!
The old fomat of 2 v 5 and 3 v 4 over two legs and a winner takes all final was much better.
This hands a very unfair advantage to a club which could not finish 2nd or 3rd - especially at such a late stage in the season. Totally unacceptable and should be subject to appeal.

Play-offs offer an unfair advantage to any team not finishing as runners-up.
Just a thought, but is it necessarily guaranteed that the club finishing fourth will get the bye? Surely it depends on the results on Saturday - or have I screwed up all logic? Perhaps Concord should be required to take part in the first play - off match despite the ban because there are also revenue implications?
Yes, it will be the club that finishes 4th, so we will know at 5pm on Saturday who will be our opponents in the semi final. The National League statement reads that Concord will be placed 7th (which is practically the lowest they would have finished anyway).
There has to be questions raised over the late publicity of this. Apparently Concord were made aware of this some weeks ago and it was decided not to release it.

The league should of to stated this week's ago I agree, makes a farce of the play-off process (again).
To make it worse 2 seasons ago 5th and 6th poole and Hungerford both couldnt go into play off and that year 7 th place took part
After that, the National League said no team lower than seventh could ever qualify for the play-offs. Presumably, all the member clubs agreed to this at the AGM.
If it is true that their manager knew this but kept it to himself, I'm not sure how the players can trust him anymore.
