Would have liked to have seen one of the three centre backs have some pace. Magnus did well when he was with us before and you would think him and Swaine will start (MG ain't going to play 3-5-2 haha). With the right player next to him and if his legs are still there Magnus would seem a reasonable signing. The striker might be ok as hes quick and people say good things about him, he has to prove himself at this level though. Hopefully he hits the ground running. The other signing we know about, also plays Sunday league football for SE Dons.

Hopefully some marquee signings to come, a proven striker at this level (or two) desperately needed along with some strength and creativity and quality in midfield. We made the mistake of leaving ourselves short and having a weak forward line last season. With lots of sides in the league signing proven scorers its disappointing we are looking weak up front and having gambles. Might as well have signed Harry Harding from Erith & Belvedere at least he scored 40 goals last season and would be very cheap.

So I think we have;

·         GK                   Dan Wilks

·         LB                    Joe Anderson

·         LB/L Mid          Archie Johnson

·         LB/L Mid          Nathan Green

·         CB                   Jay Rich-Baghuelou

·         CB                   Rob Swaine

·         CB                   Magnus Okuonghae

·         RB                   Sanchez Ming

·         Mid                  Julien Anau

·         Mid                  Montel Agyemang

·         L Mid               (Winger) Gavin Mccallum

·         FW                  Kudus Oyenuga

·     FW               Aaron Cosgrave

·     FW               Bradley Goldberg

Looks very left sided at the moment. Looks like we need someone to sit in front of the back four, cover for right back, right midfield, striker?

Can't say I am overwhelmed with the latest recruits but time will tell and they will get my full backing (if they give 100% on the pitch) whilst wearing a Wings shirt.

The back four (aside from the young Dulwich fella) looks a bit old to me - MG will say "experienced" but they are all the other side of 30 and seem to lack a little pace..??

Anau and Agyemang both showed promise at times but were, for the vast majority of last season, a long way from first team regulars - it will be asking a lot for them to step up on a consistent basis at this level.

A few spaces left to fill and I would like to see (budget permitting) a bit more power and skill in central midfield and a proven striker up front in addition to the two new lads and presumably Goldberg Junior as well

Up the Wings!

We need about 3 quality midfielders, a couple of quality strikers, a right back and a centre back with pace and we should be able to get mid table / top half. Midfield looks very weak apart from McCallum. I also strongly agree with GaryH and Wingnut.

Hopefully some quality to come in as squad looks ill thought out and a mish mash without much genuine quality or strength in it. It looks a squad full of squad players with one or two notable exceptions. (Keeper, McCallum and Brad all look up to it in the right team) Reminds me of the sackload of Ryman players we signed three seasons ago but they were probably slightly better,

Nathan Green was a stand out player at Dulwich and I feel sure he will be more than a squad player.

I would imagine Joe Anderson is our starting left back Ron. However, Nathan is one of the more plausible ones that will do a reasonable job as hes got a fair bit of experience, some quality and is the right side of 30.

Green was impressive in the away game at Dulwich (almost playing as a left winger) and I think their fans were sorry to see him leave.

I think he will operate more as a left midfielder than a full back next season (although he could do the job as a wing back if we adopted that formation)

I've not seen any confirmation that Bradley Goldberg has re-signed for the coming season? When was this announced?

I think Nathan green will play more of a midfield role with the option of cover at left back. He looked really good against us at champion hill and scored I think. They didn't want to part with him by the sounds of it but due to three days training a week he couldn't commit. Their loss is our gain and I think he could be one of our stand out players.

Also Magnus and baghuelou played a hand full of games together at centre back towards the end of the season for Dulwich. Could it be a 5 - 3 - 2 formation with them two Swaine and wing backs. Archie could be ok getting forward. Not sure about Ming though.

Reading up on Cosgrave it seems Havant had high hopes for him. Young, fast and good positioning. Didn't really do much for Chelmsford last season, mostly used as a sub. But you would hope he is hungry to prove himself. I hope the young lad hits the ground running for us.

I thought Agyemang was poor last season. His pass completion rate would have been shocking if someone was keeping count. Anau on the other hand was a very good player once he got going. Some brilliant creative play from him last season and good delivery. I Think hell be an asset to us, Im very glad he stayed.

Not heard anything on the Bradley Goldberg front which you thought you would have by now...? Maybe it means hes moving on. Still waiting for news on Jebby. Hes the pivitol piece to the jigsaw puzzle now. You would think with the club helping him through his injury last season that he would give us Something back and have another run out with us.

I would like to think the same about jebb, he truly is a class player at this level. But when you have a living to make and family to feed he owes us nothing if he can get better elsewhere.

Oh and magnus supposedly retired at the end of the last season, was given a guard of honour and presented with a trophy for his career, injuries played a part in that I would imagine so we'll see how long he lasts.

He was non-contract last season and will probably remain so this season therefore there is no contract to be signed and no announcement to make.

that is true Jamison about jebb. Would be a massive shame though and a tough replacement to find.

Didnt realise that about Magnus. That does not bode well. Maybe hes just going to be a bench warmer in case of injuries.

That is also a good point about Bradley. I know he blows hot and cold but Id like to see him stay if we can find the right front men for him to link up with.

If there's one player who doesn't need the security of a contract at this Club..!

Contract or no contract you would still think there would be some sort of announcement as to his commitment for the upcoming season.

So....14 players announced.....whatever we think of those what else do we need...I would think a couple of forwards plus Jebb would be nice

Id also like to see Ijaha and/or Mendy kept on.

If MG cant find any decent strikers within our budget hes better off going with what weve got rather than wasting money on just signing anyone. Clubs like Barnet who seem to collect strikers and then leave them on the bench/in the stand will soon begin loaning them out once the season starts.

I know this list is a little out dated upon writing this but am I correct in hearing Joe Anderson isnt with us any more?...and if so why?, as one of the first players brought in why get rid of him. I thought he'll start over Archie Johnson in the left back position.

Where did you read that Anderson isn't with Welling anymore? Have I missed something?
