Two very good signings that have upped the quality of the squad, Rooney if he stays fit is the quality on the ball we need in midfield. Brad is capable of 20 plus goals if he has a free role and if Adam Coombes signs then we have the forwards to play other systems than two up top. Could even play Brad in the 10 behind Coombes or put Rooney there if MG elects to use his favourite 4-4-1-1 formation.
The squad needed some quality and in Rooney and Brad they have some. One or Two more and a mid table looking squad could have a squeak of the play offs.
If Coombes does sign please please please just let him take all free kicks around the box where theres a shoot at goal and put him on pens, he may get the odd knock but he is still the purest striker of a ball the club has had for donkeys years.

That's the thing with Rooney. Can he stay fit? His knee was ok when he played last season but swelled up the day after every match. He's quality though and will chip in with a few goals too. He and Adam Coombes would link up beautifully I reckon.
Where did this talk of Adam Coombes come from? I thought he was too expensive for us last season when the budget was bigger? Just wishful thinking or a real possibility?

Depends on how much has been spent on the squad. I should imagine that there were big earners last year so the budget wasn't there to add him. Fifteen players have now been named so there can't be many more spaces available but Adam Coombes hasn't signed elsewhere so I guess that it's still a possibility.
