Sad news this morning that Gordon Runacre, known by many as Bruno has sadly passed away after an illness. Thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.

Sad news indeed. Bruno was a previous moderator on this board. He was also an important member of the Beer Festival committee and was very instrumental in getting 'Band Nights' on.
Bruno was one of the first supporters that Patsy and I met.
Working with him on various functions was fun and always there when we needed him.
On match days we'd laugh and cheer and he was great to be around.
For me and probably others a real and true Wings character.
The last time i saw him we was on the same train but he was going to hospital and we didn't stop joking and laughing
So pleased to have met him and shared so much time with him.
Condolences to all his family and to friends,
He will be much missed by all.
Very sad news about Bruno, he was very driven to make sure our club had an independent supporters voice and was instrumental in setting up the constitution for WUSA. Bruno was also involved in setting up the Band nights and the real ale festivals, as well as helping organise our space at the Danson Festival. We didn't always share the same point of view but he always wanted to make sure supporters had a voice that was heard. RIP Bruno.

Sad news to hear - thoughts with his family and friends.
Apart from what has already been said on here about his work for the supporters he was also involved in the legends night with Ransom, Robbins etc. What a great night that was!
Got to know him via slightly different route to the rest of you. Turned up at work one morning in the middle of Oxfordshire and happened to mention to a work colleague I'd had an argument with the forum moderator the night before. Was asked who I supported and was then promptly told to stop having a go at her Dad!
A very good lad who had my respect as a very fair moderator of this forum in his time despite me causing him quite a bit of agro on one notable occasion. You have my thoughts Nic and family.
His like do not come along that often. We seem to be having a bit of a rough run with club stalwarts presently.
Real sad news. One of the true stalwarts of the wings crowd over the years.Always had an opinion which made him a standout amongst others. Will be sadly missed on the terraces
He was a real champion of the supporters at Welling and, whilst I didn't always agree with his views, he stuck to his beliefs and was instrumental in getting the supporters voice heard at PVR over the years.
RIP Bruno and condolences to his friends & family.
I wonder if WUSA could find a suitable way of remembering both Bruno and Bertie as both were passionate supporters over a long period of time. Perhaps naming a couple of the awards presented at the end of the season in their honour might be one way of keeping their names associated with the club?
