Three all National League South ties so at least three more from our league will go.

Let's not get carried away. I'd take a scrappy 1-0 win .The most important thing is the near £14k prize money and the place in the next round.

Scrappy 1-0 win? Its like drawing Welling Town or Erith Town. If we are at full strength its an amazing draw. If we lost to these then it would be close to the worst ever result in the clubs history. I would be expecting at least 6 or 7 again comfortably. Its not about respect its about realism, we are much better than them and need to focus and sweep them aside professionally.

Also a potential 5th with Cirencester or Chippenham v Slough

Should be a lovely afternoon for it. Will be very happy to pop down and watch what we should hope will be a win; but equally important to welcome the Tavistock fans who will be making a 250 mile trip.

Tavistock have only played 3 league games so far and 4 FA Cup games and won 6 of them. This is the farthest they have been since the 50s

Last time in this round was 1954-55 season and their wikipedia page has already updated to show 2019-20 as well.

Can't ask for (another) friendlier draw than that to be honest.

Same league as Brislington who we had problems with a few years back. Still need to apply ourselves correctly as we did on Saturday and not be complacent.

Gutted for Tavistock fans who planned to come next week as their coach company has pulled out being unable to supply a second driver. Hope they can get a replacement as the Great Western chuff chuffs would cost them a fortune.

Gents,

Can I please ask that you continue with your arrogance towards us - your opponents on Saturday. We wont need any pre match team talk. The lads are already fired up enough and we do have a number of fans making the 500 mile round trip as we believe in our Lambs. Bring on Saturday!!

Really haven't read that much arrogance in this thread, mate, which is anyway at odds with how our gaffer is treating it (and the round before).

Get off your high horse Mr Shearer. Everybody here knows the folly of underestimating any side in this competition and you will certainly be given the respect you deserve, both on the pitch and around the ground.

Cant see any arrogance from Welling fans..obviously we're pleased to have a home draw against lowere league opponents. And I certainly think that it's a tie that the club are not taking lightly. im pretty sure you'll be getting respect from the home fans in view of the long journey on Saturday. Be good to see plenty of Tavistock fans having a beer before the game

I have managed to secure a small bus - A lot of money for the long day and journey ahead, but win or lose it will be worth it. We can surprise a few on our day. Ask higher opposition Frome and Highworth who we have beaten in this run so far.

Both Frome and Highworth are Southern League Division 1 South which I believe is a higher league than Tavistock.

I do not think our team or fans that actually attend Welling games have a feeling of complacency. Many a slip has happened in the past. I remember going to East Thurrock prior to their promotion for a cup game where our team failed to turn costing us a fair few bob.

Beer for this Saturday is Old Dairy Brewery (Tenterden)s Green Hop Fuggles Bitter. A mighty fine drop and perfect to celebrate this time of year. It is only 4% so a fantastic sessionable Ale.

Welling United 1 Haringey Borough 2

Welling United 0 Clevedon Town 3

Welling United 1 Wembley Town 4

Welling United 1 Whyteleafe 1 (goodbye in the replay)

Or a particularly dark day Kingstonian 2 Welling United 1

Anyone at any of those does not tolerate complacency or presume anything (especially if you were at Rothwell Town)

Then again, it could come down to which Coombes turns up (theSwindon Supermarine one would be nice..)

Our management have scouted you at least once and maybe twice so rest easy they are not underestimating you at all.

Wouldn't say he was being disrespectful.

Would say he was being realistic.

Anything less than a win - whatever the scoreline - would see the manager sacked  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
