Big game this. A defeat and we will be staring down the barrel of the relegation zone. I suspect people will be calling for MG to go if we lose, so If i were him I'd ensure the players have a proper warm up and that our starting line up is not based on nepotism.

They've won 1 in last 10, lost last 5 in row...Absolute shambles, we got a coach who chats nothing but nonsense on twitter and a manager who failed the last time he managed.

But dont worry stay positive, we're just unlucky.....

I've been very quiet on here recently but today was the lowest of the low.

The last 3 league games have been against Hampton, Eastbourne, and St albans. All three teams in the bottom part of the league and we have had zero shots on target in 3 games.

How different was today to last Saturday? Last week we played so well and it's almost like a different squad today. Also what has Jay Rich done? Unlucky to be dropped and still on the bench when Copeland comes straight in.

Individually the squad looks good enough, but for whatever reason it's not clicking. Changes to be made and quickly, otherwise we are in serious danger this season.

I said many times now but we all heard goldberg say at the meet the owner meeting, that he could not run the club and be manager. He admitted he failed at it before. He then sacks king and appoints himself within a month. Clearly its not working. History is repeating. Last two home league games should be bread and butter victories. Shambles

Past two games against the bottom 2 teams we have lost. These are the games we should be winning to stay "mid table" however, we now battle relegation. It was embarrassing to see how poor the play was today, looked like a bunch of lads playing 'Park football'. The team is in...

... A mess, after seeing players argue amoungest themselves it really sums it up along with swaine shrugging his shoulders after being called out for his poor performance. It's disappointing to watch Goldberg on the sidelines with his hands in his pockets in a mute state.

Well something needs to change immediately, I think we are in the relegation fight now. Such a shame after last season but clearly we are just not performing at the moment. Who said judge the team after 10 matches, well Mr. G, I think your time as team manager is over

After last weeks display I left home this morning truly believing that 3 points were in sight. How wrong I was , one word comes to mind for our performance today, shocking. Any ideas of how to play the opposition were clearly left in the dressing room, aimless Long balls were the call of the day and the announcer should be embarrassed to announce a man of the match because there wasnt one (apologies to Dan Wilkes who all he had to do today was pick the ball out of the net). We did not record one shot on goal and never looked like scoring. In short, we were aimless, directionless and so lacking in ideas that it was embarrassing. Finally, I worry for the judgement of two individuals if they believe that Copeland is a better centre half than Jay Rich.

First half was the worst I've seen since the days of Smith. 2nd half better but still toothless. Can't say we're too good to go down - we're not and are in a scrap. Last season seems a very long time ago

Can't recall a shot on target. Our best chance was a heavy deflection.

I looked for a response from Tuesday - I would probably still be waiting now.

We've gone from our best league performances against Torquay and Wealdstone under King to this today in less than a year.

I've never called for a Welling manager to stand aside before except Kevin Hales - Mark should do so now.

Steve Lovell in for me (who was treated abysmally at Gillingham).

The same reason Steve King went is the reason you would never get a Steve Lovell type manager in.

There is only one man for the job, Jody Brown.

We created a rod for our own back in so many ways.

Sacking King, big error and then you compound it by not signing many of last seasons squad.
Stating that we are on a supposed lower budget and mid table to top half would be fine, is telling the players we are ok if we finish mid table. Lovely just turn up take average results all season and finish mid table is fine.
Defence didn't look good enough when signed in pre season and now they aren't being given any help by the midfielders or the forwards.
How many of the players actually look like they are busting a gut or give a shiiit EVERY game?
How many of this squad would have been on other clubs wanted list for this season? Jebb was wanted by Dover, Coombes will always be wanted, The Keeper maybe. Cookie maybe.
Wheres the hunger from the management team and the players?

Hopefully a few of those that give a toss will drag the other players performance levels up. If we do pull into mid table and i was Mark Goldberg i would feel cheated as the money he is paying and the standard of the players he has... he is being conned. Forget tactics, coaching and systems they are all experienced enough apart from a few of the younger ones to go out there and get results.

If you don't score goals from set pieces you are going to struggle to win games at our level. The only decent one we put in all afternoon was a gift for McCallum and he ballsed it up.

Being part of a team is doing your bit personally for the organisation as a whole. Goldberg is not a first Team manager. Fair enough he had another crack at it but my god has he been absolutely shocking. Please stick to the off field stuff. The players who are not bad quality ( seems to be jobs for the boys who think they can get away with taking the piss at the moment with the current manager) I believe will respond better to someone who they actually respect as a football manager and will want to play for. Looking over at the touch line and on the terraces Goldberg is not a man I would be motivated to play for or support a team he is in charge of. Please get a manager in the club can get behind. I would literally take anyone right now. Even the guy that managed the managed the supporters team at the charity day. I bet as soon as Goldberg goes and a Manager comes in there will be at least an extra 100 come through the gate.

Do the right thing and get in a manager.

Mr Goldberg. Our club is not a toy. We know you want to play at being manager but playing manager is not the same as actually being one. Please stop mucking around. Thats enough now. GO. Get a proper manager in. NOW.

Well that's 90 minutes of life I'll never get back.....

As Polo has already said here, we've played 3 absolutely gash (at best bang average) teams at home recently and barely been capable of mustering a shot on goal. There were **** days under King too - Concord at home, Billericay at home, East Thurrock away, Eastbourne away - but you always got the impression we were either (a) genuinely unlucky or (b) they were rare accidents in amongst a collection of decent performances where the team were improving all the time

This time round these performances are the norm - there's no obvious sign of improvement, in fact the team are going backwards by the week

I think all of us are big enough to accept this isn't the team of last year but there is still enough out there surely? One of the most consistent keepers in the league, two blokes that have scored 20+ in this division, experience galore in the likes of Waldren and Swaine, and technical quality with the likes of Jebb. If the best you can get out of a group like this is a relegation dogfight - which surely we are in now - then one can only concede that there is a problem with tactics, motivation and coaching

The body language on the sidelines said it all, and I've watched that closely the last few weeks compared to what is going on in the oppo dugout. Its not all about ranting and raving, but when there isn't a single spark on the pitch is the answer to sit there whispering into your mate's ear like you're sat in a library together? Don't tell me the players can't see or pick up on that.....King would have been doing his bits yesterday and actively coaching. It took a dirty lunge on Sanchez 15-20 minutes from time to stir the players and when it happened, you could see that they were more than capable of putting St Albans under pressure, playing at a higher tempo and pinging it around quite nicely. Shame it had to come from a dirty tackle rather than any inspiration from the bench

I very rarely post on here as I prefer to give my opinions from the terraces whilst actually watching a game! However after yesterdays performance I have decided to make an exception.

What we quite clearly have with this seasons squad is a bunch of individuals, (I refuse to call them a team) who either dont want to play for Welling United or dont want to play under the current management structure.

To be honest I hope its the latter, and someone can be brought in who at the very least offers advice and guidance from the touchline, as we have seen very little of that so far.

Whichever way the cookie crumbles, something needs to be changed and it needs to be changed now. Relegation this year with only two clubs going down, would be a complete and utter embarrassment for all concerned, but at present we have to be one of the candidates.

I have long ago lost count of the time spent, miles travelled and costs involved in supporting the club that I love. But I for one will not be making the journey to Slough on Tuesday, to witness the complete and utter ****e we had to endure yesterday.

Rant over; I just hope I dont have to have another one.

I has a very open interview on the phone with MG earlier today.

Unfortunately it didn't record properly on my phone so I will try and get the gist of it written down and put up on social media tomorrow.

Terrible defending for the goal, gave the ball away twice in 30 seconds with absolutely shocking lazy passes and then Swaine backs off the attacker then Connor decides to try and stop them from having a shot, at least he could be arsed.

If you cant pass a ball and if you cannot be bothered to try and get tight to a forward to stop him advancing on goal then don't be bothered to pick up your wages if that's what you are doing to earn your money, St Albans aren't even any good. If you lose to the bottom teams, how will you get points off the good teams unless you do the simple basics correctly and have a bit of desire to get a result?

We kicked it out under no pressure for a throw and from that we actually passed it to their goalscorer backwards from midfield. Ridiculous, half hearted and nonsense.
