Unsurprisingly, Mark Goldberg was devastated and kept the players in the changing room for over half an hour after the game. Weve had a bit of an inquest. he said Ive got to look at myself, where Im going wrong. At the end of the day the buck stops with me.

We had a long chat about that. I think its all a little bit too nice amongst ourselves. If Im not giving that steel, Ive got to seriously consider my position. I dont want any knee jerk reaction because the reality is that weve still got a long season ahead of us.

Absolute copy and paste from the last tenure. And the line about not wanting to appoint a manager, well I tell you what...Dont run a football club. That simple. Best he can do is hold his hands up admit he's tried and failed and walk away. But his ego wont let him and this is gonna go on for a long time.

Ok so MG knows its unacceptable and he will do whats right for the club if he cannot get the players performing.

So that means no coaches being promoted to Manager and an experienced proven manager of the ilk of Jamie Day or Steve King coming in. Garry Hill?,

Short term make Waldren captain as he will actually try for 90 mins and if hes captain he will demand players give 100%, Get the left side sorted, get Jay Rich back in, give Josh a go upfront or bring in a striker who scores for fun.

Also get the hair dryer out and threaten them unless they play to their levels they can piisss off and try and get well paid elsewhere for under-performing.

Maybe just maybe work on shape vs certain opposition and have a plan b to add to this new found attitude and effort improvement.

That wasn't post match it was this morning. Not Gavin's fault at all but the manager didn't do a post match interview.

I would rather there was no immediate post match interview and there was an inquest between players and management after such an abject performance. As we didn't know how long that would take I decided along with the cameraman that I would do a phone interview today instead.

Apologies if we both have a life outside of WUFC and that isn't acceptable to you.

As I said an interview took place today and I will provide a summary of that as best I can as the recording didn't work. However Jamison seems to know everything that happens week in week out so perhaps we should take his word for what was said yesterday...

The top two paragraphs were taken from kent online interview. So are they just making it up?

Some of what you said does sound familiar and some of what he said to Wings TV will probably be repetitive but certainly not all of it.

Well as I said, nothing i said ain't in mark doigs kent paper post on the other thread for all to read so I just felt your comment was a little strange. But anyway, keep up the good work with your own interviews and please apply for the job.

This is your best chance in 15 attempts! He's not got the money to bring in anyone of experience and amd anyone lower is a gamble.

I'd rather him gamble on you knowing you give a ****!

Just to confuse matters even more I have discovered the original recording of yesterday's interview (technology and I just don't get on!) and it should be available on social media later today.

Just to clarify, I also have a life but I never finish before 6:00 because I have a Non-League Paper deadline to meet so I was still there when the necessary inquest finished (at around 5:30) to get an interview for Kent Sports News (not Kent Online).

Good interview to be fair to him, glad he can basically admit that coombes is a lazy ****er who's taking the piss out of him and the club. Just a shame it's taken so long to see it.
If there's a reaction tuesday in terms of effort then give him the next couple of weeks to try rectify the squad, if not he has to go.

Still feeling fed up after that display on Saturday.

I wouldn't be so worried if we were playing decent opposition, we were creating chances and their goalkeeper was man of the match every week, we were playing good football and just lacking some luck but, sadly, none of those apply at the moment. I said a few games back that we were a Jekyll and Hyde team but there is just Jekyll and more Jekyll at the current time?! Not scoring at home (and frankly never looking likely to) against Eastbourne, Hampton and now St Albans has to be a massive concern

I simply don't understand the tactics at times. We need to get hold of the ball up front and move ourselves up the pitch but we play with two of the least physical forwards in the league. If we persist with this combination then we need to play into their feet and work from there. Coombes is a proven finisher at this level but he needs to provided with some bullets to fire! Yes he is not exactly a workaholic (he never has been), yes he isn't doing much himself but he scored a lot of goals a few seasons back in a team that was much weaker than this one. And why oh why did we play balls down the channels on a wet pitch that Usain Bolt would have struggled to catch or aimlessly hoof it up in the air to a small and lightweight front line..?! When you are not playing well in open play then you need to utilise set pieces to the maximum but, yet again, we did next to nothing from a plethora of corners on Saturday. Jebb is usually a big threat but it wasn't happening for him either at the weekend. Remember the days of Martin, Acheampong, Parkinson, Franks etc...when our defenders used to score a shedload of goals on a regular basis. Also it is a bit of a concern when the best passer of the ball in the team is your goalkeeper..

I would appear that MG is going to address some of these concerns sooner rather than later. Whether he is the manager long term remains to be seen but his players are letting him down badly. There is very little communication on and off the pitch - I did hear the captain a few times in the second half but the only other on field communication was moaning and whining between our own players..?! As far as I am concerned I reckon Wilks, Sanchez Ming and maybe Jack Jebb are the only ones producing anything like what they are capable of and that is simply not good enough. When you have so many players performing below par it is difficult to get any consistency but the very least they need to do is work as hard as they can, stick together as a team (without any cliques) and, from my experience, Welling fans will see that , appreciate it and get behind their team.

Slough away looks very tough on paper but this league doesn't appear to have any stand out sides at the moment and any one team can beat another on their day. I quite understand people voting with their feet and not wanting to waste their hard earned tomorrow night after some of the dross that has been served up of late. I will be there tomorrow and I hope a few others will be too. Can't say that I am looking forward to it and/or expecting very much but support is about sticking with your team through bad times as well as good - we are what we are at the moment, we have what we have (and that should be capable of much more than they are producing at the present time)

Up the (table sooner rather than later please) Wings!

Would replace Jack Jebb's name with Rob Swaine on the playing ok list.

Jebb didn't have a good game against St Albans with his set pieces unusually letting him down and he gave the ball away very cheaply for the goal.

 Fair point about Swaine.

On reflection my list is a little short! I will add him and if fit and/or selected I will also add Baghelou, Widdrington and possibly Mccallum. Any advance on that...??

Also, if he is not getting a starting berth I would like to see Green tried for a couple of games at left back.

Would agree with the other names on your list other than maybe McCallum who's a bit of a sick note. Tempting to consider Green as a left back though am not sure how good he'd be at actual defending.

The one other name I'd propose for the list is centre half Ejiro Okosieme who I feel has been playing well. In his absence last weekend if Copeland was genuinely preferred to Baghelou then that's a bit frightening!

You need to listen to the interview with MG where your last point is covered.
