Today we saw one thing that we've not seen for months. 100% effort.
I've never had a problem with losing a game as long as the team put a shift in and give 100%. Today we had that from every player on the pitch. The 2 new loanees in midfield James and Wright were quality and with the work rate put in today we should be chalking up some results soon.
Very encouraging!

realistically we couldnt have expected to get much out of the game, so a 1-0 defeat but a good performance is encouraging. Ignore the league table, almost the only way now is UP.
Much, much better today. Lots of work to do but at least we saw some passion out there and more importantly players trying to push on and get a goal back. We would have crumbled a few weeks back after going a goal down.
Followed the game on Twitter. It seemed we had a reasonable amount of the ball and a few chances. Encouraging start to the new managers era. Every single game every single point matters now. We should aim to finish at least half way up the table and see where that takes us. Get safe first and foremost though.
Hearing a lot of positives from twitter and people updating me from the game, good to hear.
Never expected any points today regardless of who was in charge, the real work starts next week when they've had a chance to train and maybe another couple in.
I particularly like Phillip Roberts, knows where the netty thing is and hopefully will start next week.

Pleased to hear it mate. Will be back for the Hemel away game in a couple of weeks and hoping for better things to look forward to. Very encouraging interview when he joined - not pulling any punches about workrate and eliminating stupid mistakes and gifting possession which we've done all season. Good luck Brad and the team
Liked the new players Bradley's brought in. We seemed to gain in confidence when the new attacking sub came on. Wealdstone's constant second half time wasting tactics helped see them over the line.
Fortunate that their finishing was by and large woeful such that the game was still there to get back into but a much improved performance which, if repeated, should see improvement from our current league position.
Funny how when the manager has his own jeopardy if he doesn't get it right, those under him outwardly seem to give more of a jot.
Very encouraged by what we saw on Saturday, particularly from the two young lads in midfield. Bearing in mind we were playing the top of the league side away from home (who had won 10 out of 11 home games) we put up a decent fight. The first 20-25 minutes of the second half we were under the cosh and fortunate not to go further behind but we were well in the game in the first half and, after the red card, they sat back and defended what they had although we didn't really create enough to really trouble them. To see the s**thousery that went on to protect their lead with their bench trying to keep hold of the ball and their subs warming up knocking the ball out of the ground to waste time was encouraging in its own way (although I have to admit to being a little jealous as well as I can't remember the last time we were in a position in a game to be able to waste time...?!)
Despite the obvious improvement there is still plenty to work on. The forwards need to contribute much more whether that be in holding the ball up and our getting in the danger area a lot more. As the manager alluded to in his interview there were a couple of great balls across the six yard box on Saturday and no red shirt in sight to try and get the final touch. Also the set pieces need to be much much better than they were on Saturday. In the second half one free kick went out of the ground and one corner never even made it on to the pitch - when you are trying to build up a head of steam and chasing the game there is simply no excuse for that. If only the Wealdstone number 16 were playing in red...
The proverbial six pointer next Saturday with Hungerford but they will be coming for a win as they will see it as a chance to beat another struggling team and close the gap on the teams above them. Clearly we need work on the fitness side of things (the new striker has a good scoring record at this level but needs to get up to speed asap) I am sure we will start to see the benefits under Quinton but that may not be fully apparent for a few weeks yet. I expect there will be some more changes on the personnel front to come as well but. despite losing on Saturday, there were plenty of positives to take from the game. I hope the home crowd gets behind our boys on Saturday and helps the players to get a much needed three points.
