This could end up being very very damaging if not fatal for many Non League clubs. If the season is totally wiped out will Welling United be able to get through it? What happens if the PSF with Charlton get binned etc? This is a complete Sh1t storm.

The EFL has put £50 million aside for its clubs. I think lower league clubs will be able to put in a request to the government under the small business funding scheme they introduced. This does not help any club at this very minute. Many bills have to be paid and with a lack of income clubs could certainly fold or even merge. There has been a lot said on conference forums but we just need to wait and see.

Just seen a post on Conference South forum regarding article in standard. According to this National League is taking to clubs about the shortfall. Dulwich Hamlet suggested clubs are going to need in the region of £250,000 each which over the 3 leagues is nearly £17 million.

A good idea that i read by a journalist on the Athletic is that all premier league teams should put 250k a year out of their TV money into a contingency pot.
This could be used in unforeseen circumstances like now or applied for in times of need. I don't mean if the chairman spunking all the money but things like damage to the ground or pitch beyond the clubs control and even the idea of funding 3g pitches for all clubs national and below.

Alternatively, how about all of the players in the Premier (and some in the National) taking a pay cut? After all, none of them are likely to leave their parent clubs for another club with a better deal, as these 'better deals' will not exist? Am I missing something here?
