As some people may know Lewes Fc have had planning permission for the new turnstile at the far end of the ground rejected because of the importance of a flint wall (falling to pieces and covered up by fencing and leaves.)
We understand there will be some who are of the same opinion as LDC and will not want to support Lewes Fc but if you would like to help please sign our petition on
There is something very strange about the situation at Lewes - LDC and LFC are in discussions about the ground, a planning application is submitted and rejected on the grounds of the preservation of a the remaining portion of a flint wall which nobody owns and by all accounts will collapse within a couple of years without repair.
Martin Elliott, Managing Director of LFC is a very successful property developer with experience and expertise on hand in planning law and liasing with councils on issues like this. Could it be that there is another more comprehensive plan which could not be completed in time to make a planning application and a 'token' proposal was made? Whatever the true situation is there was never any hope of meeting the Conference deadlines this year.
I await with some interest news of further developments.
