Although in london I've seen a couple of place up town potentially flouting the rules and showing sport I believe pubs etc are not actually aloud to do so at the moment under government ruling.
No, I'm sure that pubs are allowed to show football and the Wings Bar has the rights to BT matches for free. The Bar will likely need to be adapted to be socially distanced for the start of the season anyway.

The bar I am told wont be opening until at least September, functions maybe not until December.
Nobody has done the paperwork it seems for it, or even considered sending waste beer back to get the duty refunded. Theres also issues with the guidance and nobody reading it to see how to do it all.
Seems the clubs opinion is wait until back to normal then no safety paperwork needed.
He is not the only chairman to plead poverty, I have just read Dover will go part-time in the new season. They have announced season ticket prices, but said they can't play without crowds
A response I was entirely expecting from some teams. There will come a choice between following rules imposed by people with little appreciation of life at the sharp end or trading viably. If enough do this, the rules will become more realistic.
It is equivalent to the old bank debt scenario. You default on a £2000 loan, that is your problem. You default on a £20,000,000 loan, that becomes the bank's problem.
