So you are one nil down needing a result so what master stroke does the Wings boss pull? Getting 3 Welling fans in the dressing room at half time!! Tremendous!! So he couldnt motivate them himself?
And people say Welling isnt Professional LMFAO, mind you i dare say its boosted a few egos! So thats ok then isnt it. Next Week?? Why not let some of them play and let others Manage the team?
I have taken the above qoute from the conf. south forum from JGFC and I think you may have missed the point here.
My view is that by bringing in the "fans" at half time it may jolt the players into something in seeing how people follow WUFC through thick and thin and are maybe not rewarded for the money they spend in what is their passion. An interesting approach, maybe not indorsed by everyone but I admire Ade for doing it, maybe some people need to know how people feel. I for one would like to know what those people who were invited in felt.
A mate of mine is a West Ham fan and is going to Villa tomorrow for the semi fnal against Boro. Apart from the travel he has paid £55 for his ticket. Will he be invited to express his opinions if the hammers are crap? I doubt it
Last week I was too piXXed off after the the Eastbourne game to express my opinions apart from the fact that the second goal looked like handball to me and looking at the video you can hear people shout handball and the play seems to stop. I think Ade is right, why can we give the teams like Weymouth a run for their monery yet those below us cause us problems.
Mathmatically we are still not out of it looking at the results today and the H&W deduction but a draw at least would have made it so much easier. So the fat lady has yet to clear her throat.
The local rag says that he has made up his mind already on who he wants to keep, it could be an interesting summer.
I think it was to show how much it matters to us the supporters
I am afraid we were let down today and only started playing once the game was over
Ade knows what we think week in week out - He wanted to make sure that they did
I think someone else should sit back , think and realise we have a good manager on our hands and not one that needs to hear the pathetic criticism that is directed at him.
Hang on.... Lets be frank here. Despite us not playing well we had a great chance of getting in the play offs. Look at the last 4 results. Ade signed them and they have failed. No problem with that BUT in the most important game of the season, losing at half time you DONT waste time that could be used on tactics/bollocking them bringing in 3 Welling fans to say "come on fellas lets go for it" Do you really think the players would listen to 3 random (or not so random) fans?
Lets say you are Vera Coomes who pays thousands a year to sponsor the team, You think, ive done this a few years with nothing in the way of cup runs, league form etc etc (until this year) BUT we have a good chance this year. Then to find out with results yet again going your way, 1-0 down the teams Manager calls for fans to go in the changing room at half time.
Sorry but thats just wrong, Ade signed them and they had a play off spot there for the taking, he should be able to get them going (With Handford). If the club are going for it next year i guess only 5 or 6 of this years squad will stay. if they cant beat Sutton, Newport, Eastbourne in the closing games to grab a play off spot. How would you fance them to beat a good team to win the league?
IF bringing the fans in at half time was a good idea, everyone would do it. Poor move, acheived nothing and may have cost us everything. Infact it could have STOPPED us going up.
Be fair if you are a player you would laugh, i would. Or id say if you dont like how we are playing you play!!
From being joint top, having a good cup and trophy run to this.... And people are happy?? Given the club have struggled for 80% of the last 20 years?? Bejasus the Club have bought peoples opinions with a few Cheese Sarnies and discount away travel etc for running WPC (is it still going? the site aint changed since January)
Hey... Dont matter, we are going for it next season. I must be cynical or one of the few that doesnt think the sun shines out of the Club's and Adie's backside.
Sure Adie has done well, earlier in the season, fantastic, but he's fallen short since christmas and seems to have lost it.
How many think Welling will be up there next season - truly. I am willing to have £100 with anyone that the Club will not beat this seasons finishing position next year. Why? Because they do not want to! The Hobbins wont be around for ever and they have to look to their futures, I suppose if i was in their position i would too, but id prefer if they said , we cant take the lClub forward anymore and risk our future. Rather than go on year in year out under achieving with no future. It comes down to being in the comfort zone.
The Question is... Are the fans happy sharing a sherry and a custard cream every week, having a private hotline for the gossip, the odd free beer and super fan status and under achieving and being unable to criticise? It seems so.
Harvey, again i dont think you are "just a fan" you bite a bit much for that. PS im cristicising the club as i feel they deserve it, I am also aware that "someone" at the club slags me off to supporters all the time ... But thats ok aint it! Im trying to remain constructive. Put money into the team, show ambition or sell up.
If they do well they get praise, if they do bad they get a bollocking. I havent sold my soul and have opinions which i have conviction in. A bit strong sometimes? Maybe but i dont ever see many give their opinion on the clubs lack of success, ambition etc. Why?? BECAUSE if you criticise the club they bitch slap you. So to the people with brown tongues, sitting there alone... think for one second and say out loud on your own... youre wrong jgfc, youre wrong... and believe it!
I remain 100% convinced that Ades gaffe "Yep were top of the league but top half would be great this year" was a fatal error. Its like saying yeah great well done lads but you wont stay so try and finish in the top half" Hang on another Fatal gaffe... When play offs are there for taking, bring the fans in at half time!
I believe de CAN do the job, But he will need to learn from mistakes and admit to them and he will need more ambition from the club or new directors/owners brought in.

If your thoughts are directed at JGFC then look at the positives he puts on here and outweigh them against the negs. I think overall he would be on the plus side.
I have said before I dont wish to get dragged into areas other than football but why we end up with this playground mentality is beyond me.
So here's a thought we signed three players and released them and I dont think I have seen them play, I think Moses made the bench-why did we sign them in the first place? Werre they on a pay per play basis
Also something else to raise if Rivs became available again next season would it be worthwhile going after hm or is it too far long gone and we could not afford him.
PLease give me some answers to these two questions somebody before we all end up back throwing toys at each other
I wouldnt have Rivs back, he left for Money. And i havent got a problem with people posting i'm wrong IF they keep sensible and tell me why i am wrong. No need for toys to be hurled at all.
I think its pretty much there to see Ade has made a couple of Big errors this year. But the first half of the season was fantastic! I just think you cannot and shouldnt pass up the chance to get promotion and we did that but saying no not this year, next year . When we were joint top. Look at Eastbourne for example. We have only had what 3, 4 ?? top 6 seasons in the last 20, we cannot pick and choose when to try for promotion given the finishing positions since 1986 thats all. Didnt show any ambition. Why not come out and say . We want to go up, we think we can win the League and we want it? Didnt hurt Weymouth, St Albans, Farnboro did it?
Trust me , IF Welling ever get back to the Conference there will not be a happier Welling fan than i and i would bet my life on that. Ive never been one for 2nd best or under acheiving or sucking up to people thats all. And yes im behind Adie!

IMO - Simple, the Players see it as a big game, and get stuck in. They want to beat the best. Its nothing to do with League points, its a biggy and one they relish. Motivation isnt needed, for the Games V Carshalton, Newport, Maidenhead, Sutton etc etc They need to be motivated. Sadly they havent been (personally or by the Club) If you find the reasons why not, then you may have the answer. You raise some excellent points.

I'll be interested to see what, if anything, Ade says about taking fans into the dressing room at half time. I have to say that in my opinion it was a mistake - the players can clearly hear what the fans think during the match and in the bar after a match. If it genuinely was to show what the admission paying fans think about the performance then surely the appropriate time was at the end of the match. As at least one poster has said recently, and I paraphrase, the club and the manager run the side not the supporters, a view I wholeheartedly subscribe to - why then turn this on its head by taking fans into the dressing room at half time when from the sound of it the hair drier was required not a distraction.
As far as recent results go I suppose the obvious question is "Has Ade/the Club made players aware of the decisions regarding next seasons squad?"
Playing history of those released is Moses Jjunju 12 mins and 1 min on pitch and twice stayed on the bench, Hector Mackie 14 mins on the pitch and once stayed on the bench, Jim Corbett never even made the bench.
BKK, I am asuming you are aware of my views on any return of Rivs from my previous posting on the matter.
