Thank you to the likes of Dorking, Havant and others who got us classed as "elite" at the end of last season ...

So 300 Sheppy fans are not a risk but 255 Sheppy fans with 45 Welling fans are. This is a disgusting edict from the F.A. who in my mind are not fit for purpose. Another nail in the coffin of National Leagues North and South.

I do not understand the logic.  Their gate would have been the 300 regardless.  We're penalised for supporting our club.

Pathetic.

Will the club be able to stream back to Wings bar?

Totally disgusting, the FA are a complete joke. I just hope some of our fans have bought tickets directly from them

You honestly think this comes from the FA and not above? If you said they didn't have the balls to challenge it I might agree...

Anyone who has managed to get a ticket I would advise not to wear colours or take a flag.

It looks like some 'home' tickets are for sale on their website, so assuming they're put our allocation back on sale for their fans (or indeed anyone who can get on there quickly enough to buy one).

I've just seen the other thread about the stream in wings bar - be cool to have the radio wings commentary over that biggrin  If you can't be there maybe your have to commentate in person on the stream live from the wings bar.

Just read the edict from the FA. I have read some barmy things in my life but that just about takes the biscuit. Micro management of the unfortunate situation we find ourselves in, for no good purpose.

I dont care if it came from the FA, the Culture Dept. or Boris himself. There is no sensible logic to it and it beggars belief.

So, how do you suggest it is changed, because it won't all the time clubs try to make do and mend individually. There is no consequence in the wider scheme of things and nothing to stop it being relaxed and then reimposed a month later.

I agree with all you say. However, I have just read the edict in respect of the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round, there is no logic to it and it beggars belief.

Corinthian Casuals are due to play Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday. No omlettes allowed but neutrals are. So the stupid thing is we cant go to watch at Sheppy but we could go to the Casuals game.

I believe the phrase is a rule searching for a justification.

Below Championship you can't viably run without crowds. From there to us, most clubs are going to die individually in a scenario where there is no continuity of spectator attendance. If you can make decisions and someone else can take the pain they are easy decisions to take. If the pain is put back on the decision makers they generally take a closer look.

Football clubs are an emotive issue to a fair percentage of the population but they are by nature hopelessly self centred and short sighted. Sometimes you have to pick a hill to die on, if die you inevitably will. I commend the majority of the teams in the North in saying if you condemn us we will take your tournament with us. It would appear the Government have now blinked first in the form of grants, if reports are to be believed. Maybe this has to be done again if this arbitrary law making contiues.

Hopefully the other clubs will take note.

As there won't be/wouldn't have been any segregation for any of these games, tickets were just sold as general sale anyway.

Completely nonsensical!

Maybe they should segregate neutrals, to keep any potential elite Covid carriers in one area?

Maybe the thing to do is pick a match that is not likely to be well attended otherwise (or whatever the TV match is) and flood it with people and flags from as many 'elite' teams as possible?

Elite team flags are also banned from attending, but tin foil cups are allowed

So everyone turns up with the words to a song each club sing (weeding out the dullards who think it is a wheeze for their rivals to sing a derogatory song about themselves) and just rotate through those for the duration of the match among the assembled company? Hereford United sort of set the precedent for that a Kidderminster.

I wonder where Bury and Macclesfield flags now stand?

Chanting and shouting at football grounds is not allowed as it could propel the Covid droplets (apparently).

You have probably just convinced referees and linesmen that these regs should last forever. Presumably the absurdity of it not applying to the players is taken for granted.

Even more so managers and coaching staff.
