He normally gives Mark an interview for the local papers straight after the game.

Pre lockdown we did post match interviews on the pitch directly after home games. Now with the streaming set up that is nowhere near as easy to organise as there is a lot of work pre and post game as we discovered yesterday. BQ did give us a few words pre game for the stream as did Kaleem Simon.

The routine this season has usually been an interview on the Sunday which has been easier to do and BQ has always been as cooperative as possible in that respect. There will be an interview done later today which will hopefully be available online tonight or tomorrow.

Didn't think the first half was too bad yesterday, although we didn't create much of note. It seemed to be the only plan was to try and knock it long over the centre halves, which didn't really pay off. But second half was pretty awful.

It's the number of changes that's baffled me, I know there have been different players coming in on loan but you can't make numerous changes every game. There has to be a settled side, and I hope that BQ works out his best 11 soon and we try to stick to that.

Last thing to me was that I thought Chelmsford were actually quite a decent side and their workrate with and without the ball was superb. Even at 3-0 and 4-0 up they kept working hard and our players spent a lot of the last 20 minutes arguing with each other. Chelmsford seemed a team, while we looked like a bunch of individuals.

I think it will click eventually and I trust in BQ and his team to get it right, hopefully that's soon!

Clubs in the Southern Counties East are producing on line programmes. It doesn't need to be award winning, but would have thought it possible.

Thats fair enough, the words printed were "refused interview" so can only go by what it says.

I said that he declined a request. He is under no obligation to speak to me for the local press.

Interview on Sunday is not a post match interview. A sunday interview means he's full of whatever anyone has said to him. It's pony TBH (even Goldberg would come and spin some yarn)

But let's not pretend, at this rate, BQ will be sacked by Xmas.

 Thanks for your support.

Last time I looked Sunday comes after Saturday (pedants need not reply) so it's safe to say it's definitely a post match interview

In my humble opinion nobody is putting words in his mouth.

I think a Sunday interview is actually more valuable....it gives time for emotions to subside and therefore a more measured response

Good to hear the interview and thanks for getting it posted tonight. Really appreciate the work you do to get it out to us.

Personally I think a lot of them players are letting Brad down and I think as he said in his interview so experience is needed. Hopefully he gets those players in. I personally believe in Brad and once the squad settles down Im confident hell deliver some better results shortly.

Agreed, not saying it against Brad  - just not pretending: Football is a results game.

It's nice to have contacts a higher league clubs but personally I'd get rid of a few of the loans, dont need 18/19 year olds at times like this. The last 3 signings lyle, blackman and cochrane are much more positive in terms of experience and ability.

I am inclined to agree with that but the young centre back was probably our best performer on Saturday despite the scoreline and the young Brighton lad who played at Eastbourne was one of the few to play well in that game.

We need to get the balance right and a mix between young and experienced players. The ones in the latter category at the moment are, in some cases, the ones who are letting us down in my opinion.

It must be a coincidence that when we get well beaten he declines a same day interview and is often said to be angry / not in the mood or some such mood , so Mark is not part of the club then and is press? Was he not assistant press office to Barry and then Alan Heath last season has this changed as he is still listed on the official site as assistant press officer? Who is the press officer now?

Its just hiding after a bad performance by Brad. Its a weakness. Show me other clubs that have media where the manager always goes missing when his views are asked for after a match?

Err...Manchester United (Phelan in for Ferguson).

In fact I've lost count of matches where managers haven't given a live television matchday interview after a bad performance as they had spent so long in the changing room with the players afterwards that the programme had gone off the air by the time that team had emerged.

Brad was clearly upset after the match; 1 day's wait for an interview was probably best for all concerned.

Its every time , its fine now and again, but when ever we put in a stinker he pulls a face and declines an interview.

I just think as hes a nice bloke hes getting a lot of leeway.

Remember we have been training for months including extra sessions, we look abysmal defending, Don't create much up front usually. Set pieces are a joke and we have a big back room team, scouting networks and scouting coaches, who on earth are they scouting?.

We seem to talk the talk but it seems to be a total mess. I can see Garry bombing the lot of them shortly especially when hes avoiding interviews after games.

I'm not ready to say Brad's time is nearing an end yet. He hasn't become a bad manager overnight and he did very well back end of last season and has had relative success in this league before with lower funds.

I may have misunderstood but it sounds like the squad will continue to flux between players and who plays. Doesn't seem like he will settle with a side anytime soon.

Something is certainly wrong. Just simple things like keeping possession, knocking the ball around. I don't know whether that is because the attitudes of the players i.e. loans, younger pros wanting to play for themselves or if it is just the ability levels are not on parr with others at this level.

Really? Do you reckon he has a media advisor or something?

That's not what I meant. It's not normal for a manager to shirk a post match interview, and then give a "briefing" the following day. By the time he does so, he could have had a chat with the chairman, fans, players and his view would no longer be that of his own, and it would be good to know if the manager knows what he is doing.....judging by his words.

Twist it all you like but BQ is going to be sacked by Xmas.

The end.

I'm not sure that 'refusing' and 'shirking' are the right words. Brad declined my request for a word for a Kent website which is his right. It had nothing to do with my role for Welling United.

I would give it a little while before the sacked before Xmas stuff, as I said and he said himself need some experience in the team, already bought in 3 players with that which was probably to late for Chelmsford. Tomorrow night is must win though, they are a poor side and if a similar thing was to happen as Saturday then the pressure is really on after that. Sometimes only needs one game for things to change and we have the next 3 on paper all against poor sides and winnable so let's see what happens.

Likeable guy, and current Welling United manager - hope the next three are wins and the tide turns. But I stand by my projection.
