Ridiculous now, league need to call the season off. Not what anyone really wants but for the best. Far too many games to squeeze in.

Yeah, season should be scuppered. Too dodgy physically to expect part time players to play 2 + games per week. And this is without weather postponements

Also noted that Frome Town refused to play their Trophy game in #4 against Maidstone and were kicked out by the FA.

Although, opening a wider debate, when they do play, they don't exactly ****** ********. Deliberately not using the words.

This is difficult....we are in the National League where a lot of the teams are full time clubs.....they will want their shot at promotion to League 2 plus they have a load of contracted players that need paying (government pay out which I presume will stop if the leagues stop)

Sensible thing would be to stop and maybe go again for a new season in July/August....but the sensible thing doesnt always happen

Still months to go before everyone is vaccinated and there is any hope that these delays will stop. There is no way that all the league and cup matches can be fitted in so best to call it all of now surely

Might help if players like keep to the rules. Chlori Johnson and Reice-Cook clearly flouting the rules on Cookies Instagram. They have a responsibility to the club and I dont feel that some of these players realise that. Culture needs changing. Got good people behind the scenes time and to weed out some of the bad apples to push this club forward in my opinion.

The culture issue is a issue across the whole of football, but also a generation thing. Just think, in 10 years the premier league will be full of #ballerz

The good news for us is cup matches are irrelevant

Like a lot of our support I am getting on a bit - 70 in May and I am a youngster. I checked the private website that estimates when you might get the vaccination. March/April time with 10-12.5 million in front of me.

I agree and Id like to see us stamp that out of our club. I think player interaction with fans is crucial to engaging people and some of the players just simply dont get that at the moment. its ok Brad forcing them to wave after the game but it should be part of the fabric of the club that players value the fans. Look at the like of Connor Dymond who have a drink after the game and have a chat with fans. Anal thing but its what non league is about. Just my view but with the three directors we currently have (who I believe in), I think a new positive culture needs to be instilled, which I believe it will be.

Connor is a local lad with his feet on the ground. many of the players are prima donnas from academy's who are really just looking to get out on a saturday night and sniff some nitrade!

Yea agreed and maybe thats what this club needs. Not saying Connor is the best player in the world but from what Ive seen and heard he understands what this club is and should be about. I guess my point is we need more down to earth players who know what football means to the fans. I think Ryan Blackman does. Hes done interviews lately and seems happy to talk to fans, the same as young Lewis Hobbs. My long winded point is Im sick of players putting themselves before the club. I didnt care if you were at Arsenal, youre now playing for Welling and if you dont appreciate that, then go somewhere else. When I saw Chiori Johnson on social media flouting the rules, I just dont want people like that at my club. Again just my opinion and fully appreciate not everyone will agree.

Also let me caveat that with, I have said Chiori Johnson was flouting the rules, by saying this I have assumed that he doesnt live with Anthony Cook, Reice Cook and about 5 other blokes. If he does apologies, but Anthony Cook was saying **ck Boris and basically doing what he wanted. Hes not our problem anymore, but my problem is that Chiori and Reice- Cook can jeopardise their own health but it could also be affect the health of the rest of the squad if indeed he was breaking the rules.

I think that with loanees coming and going, that sort of interaction will not happen. The 'all in it together' attitude played a big part in Jamie Day's league winning side in my opinion but having characters like Lee Clarke and Joe Healy was a major component.

This season is different for obvious reason but when things get better, I'd like to see the 'United' element of the club return.

Will be a long time before you get that, just not the same type of player around anymore. Seems majority of players seem to think social media and how many followers they have is more important. And that as said is a generation thing.

You get a few Connor dymonds but not enough, as has been said aint the best but works hard, plays hard and has time for people. I still see him few times a week, his dad is my boss and he's always passing through on his way to work, did try and coax him back a while ago but he's happy at cray.

He gets on well with Cray manager Kevin Watson and, as you say, young footballers have different priorities now.

Yesterday, eight out of ten games were called off, only one through pitch reasons as far as I'm aware, and today Eastbourne Borough have announced that they now have a case and can't play tomorrow. The R rate is rising so these aren't going to be isolated cases when semi-pro footballers have other jobs and mix with the general public.

Sporting integrity has gone.

Divvy up the grants and furlough money now, while there are still flights to Marbella for NYE.

It might. Then again you wouldn't need prisons either as no one would ever break the law. Human nature has not made them redundant in the last 400 years...

I do find the view that local people are whiter than white and do not break the rules slightly offensive. I have seen many people who live in Bexley Borough breaking Covid rules. Also there might be players who for cultural or religious reasons don't drink. I agree that there needs to be more interaction between players and fans but that is not always a pint of lager.
