I didnt see that coming. Does MG mean hes willing to accept taking on a loan or the club accepting the responsibility. It would be nice to finish the season but if the league doesnt start up again soon we will be playing 4 games a week
There should surely be a huge surplus from earlier in the season anyway - we had 3 x 30k as well as I assume either a Bounce Back Loan or CBILS. There have been other schemes, like business rates being wiped out, and several football foundation and other Kent/London FA grants on offer.
Attempting to borrow more we will be unlikely to afford to pay back.
SH - I can't see what the club gains from it either. I can see what someone might gain though.
And to put it out in public, and to all other clubs as well, honestly. The Concord Chairman has had his view on Twitter. Comical.

I wonder if we are worried about possible league sanctions if we refused to play? i.e. Points deduction next season, fines etc. Would be unfair if that happened but we are not the only club to go public and say we want to carry on. I thought grants were still an option if you outlined what was needed to carry on. Just hope we dont need a large loan to finish the season.
I find that statement very strange....You would think bottom of the league..very limited funds...possible playing of 3 games a week that we would want to scrap it and start afresh
I really dont want us going down the loan route...we are not good with money
Whilst I appreciate what Mr G says he must now realise that he must put his money where his mouth is, not only for the rest of this season, but, more importantly, for next season as well.

In three words I can sum up everything i've learnt in life; it goes on.
Would be good to know if we can finish the season without getting in heavy debt, how much we would need to borrow (if we need to borrow) and how we pay back loans going forwards - does next seasons budget get smaller?
Elite is as elite does and I was going to say that there is little discernible evidence we have been run in an elite fashion in recent times to deserve the tag. I then stopped to consider the general integrity surrounding the Premier League and I may be forced to reconsider...

I havent seen many clubs in a relegation battle come out and say theyd like to see out the season, I actually think it makes us look dignified and not looking after our own interests. It shows some integrity but id love to know his reasoning.
I wonder if Gavin can sort an interview with Mark where he can give his reasons and comment on other club news and what his position is now. Is he back in full control etc? Has anyone made an offer for the club and is he looking to sell, whats the road map for the next 2-3 years and where are we with any possible development etc.

I haven't seen many clubs in a relegation battle, WHERE THEY KNOW RELEGATION WILL DEFINITELY OCCUR, say they would like to see out the season. Otherwise one could have a charitable or cynical view towards the impression being made...
