Not only have they been at the center of the abuse (some of them not all!!) on the forums and the heart of it. Not only have they huge egos's but it was 3 super fans that were invited in by adie to the dressing room. FFS they will be playing next year!!

Keith Mills you have a new rival in the "going to an opening of an envelope" Matty Mein take a bow.

I would lay the website forum wars firmly at SOME of the super fans doors, and i COULD also say they were responsible for Welling not getting in the play offs. Why the **** do the club seem to treat these like super fans, they have punched oppo fans, been reported for abuse at grounds, caused havoc on the forums, stolen stuff from away grounds and NOW they get invited to do the team talk. This is crazy.

*** Disclaimer i am not saying that any of the 3 lads in the paper and who  gave the team talk were in anyway involved in any of the above ***

A lot of the stuff has been committed by friends and associates of these guys and the club seem to woeship them. Mark my words, when the clubb fail, these super fans will AGAIN turn on the club. How they can go from "hobbins you ****, **** *** this is ****" etc to yes its a great club etc is beyond me. Egos and Agendas and i would add they are acheiving nothing but inflating egos and are two faced. It does prove that its a closed shop and these few fans are under the svengali grip of the club and sold their souls and opinions.

Beggars belief!!

Quote from Mr Mein Vice Chief super fan...

" Adrian had his say then turned it to us (Wow!!)... and we told them it was all or nothing for the next 45 mins (That told em Matty!!).

Steve Hudson said that we should believe in ourselves more(WHY??? When Ade said top half would be good when we were joint top??)... BUT THE WHOLE CONCEPT SHOWS WHAT A GOOD MANAGER ADRIAN PENNOCK IS ... (WHY??? BECAUSE HE CHOSE YOU???)

It would have been a masterstroke (WTF HOW??? ARE YOU FOR REAL??) but sadly we couldnt quite repair the damage in the second half. (indeed they went two down!! )

Shambles, and if i were a sponsor id not renew. I can just see it. 4th Qualifying round FA Cup, Home v Torquay 0-0 at half time and Adie calls for 3 more super fans..,

Super Fan... "Come on lads, we can get to the first round, play with pride we are good"

Result Wings 0 Torquay 5 (Couldnt quite repair the cock up of having fans give the team talk)

Sorry but this super fan bollocks has to stop. WTF have they done but drive wedges and inflate their own egos and dare i say ruin the club. From hundreds of fans in a wuisa to a few throwing their toys out the pram, deleting websites, creating abuse and pinting the finger.

Someone needs to sort this cos its bollocks lads. Am i the only one seeing double standards, ego's and wankers?

I wondered how long it would take someone to reply to the back page of the Bexley Extra this week. A rather long post from JGFC but unfortunately one that contains a few factual inaccuracies.

The comment that these fans are ‘Super-Fans’ is an opinion but what do you base it on, if it is based on the fact that these fans go to a lot of games then correct, I suppose they may be labelled super fans. If you have another definition then please post it.

The website wars have become ‘tales wrapped up in legend’ and I believe should now be consigned to history, Welling is a small club, far too small to be divided like this. I would like to see everyone use this forum, as there seems to be no other one to post on. As for laying the blame at anyone’s door, accept that everyone was to blame and leave it at that and move on.

How the failure to qualify for the play-offs can be levelled at a small group of fans has rather confused me. Would JGFC please like to comment on this further? As far as I can tell, the failure to get into the top 5 can and should be levelled at the players. We did not score enough goals, did not collect enough points – simple we failed. But there is always next year. I cannot see how the fans contributed to this.

The ‘Punching incident’ that JGFC often refers to needs some clarification. I may be wrong but I don’t think you were at the St. Albans away game where this incident took place but if you were and gained a better view of the incident then I apologise, but for the sake of clarity the event took place as follows.

The welling fans were standing behind the goal, when a couple of local yobs of around 15-17 years old came behind the goal and started responding to the welling chants with abuse. It is a sad fact of modern football that this is not an advisable course of action, and this was pointed out to a steward who shrugged his shoulders and did nothing. The welling fan in question went over to ask the lads to move on, when confronted with the lad squaring up to strike him he slapped him in self defence. Now that is a statement of fact because I was there and witnessed everything, as did 20-30 other wings fans. The yobs were well known to the stewards and have been removed from the ground before for causing trouble.

Now the WSU is you state a closed shop. This is in fact wrong. I joined the WSU as anyone can. I came in as a total outsider and have found the guys extremely friendly and everyone works very hard for the sake of the club. There are new members that have joined apart from me – so how can this be a closed shop.

Your comments towards Mr Mein seem to me to derive from arguments past, and I cannot comment as I do not know the facts, but I will say that Matt has worked extremely hard to achieve a community scheme for the club and for this he should be applauded. I notice you call him vice chief super fan and this leads me to believe that your main gripe is with somebody else.

You will probably label me a super fan but in fact I have supported Welling since 1980 and came back this season after a few seasons away to find world war III had broken out amongst some sections of the fan base. I am not a super fan but a member of the WSU, who along with others works hard to try and make as better club for everyone.

One of the points you make concerns Saturdays result at Sutton, which was at best poor and well below what we should be expecting.

I await JGFC’s reply with interest.

‘Gone Fishing’, I wholeheartedly agree with your points about the website wars and have said so on many occasions, as has BKK.  It is a great shame that some people can’t put it in the past where it belongs – life’s too short.  To be fair to JGFC he has offered the olive branch on several occasions but has been ignored and this appears to have only served to further fuel his periodic and in my opinion OTT negative outbursts when he disagrees with something or has been baited.

With regard to the dressing room affair, since last weekend I have only seen the article in the Bexley Extra where Ade is quoted as having been “so annoyed with the team.”  I still hold the view that it was wrong, in fact I would go as far as to say it was unprofessional and I would suggest that Ade would not have done it had he not been so annoyed.

As far as the ‘Superfans’ issue is concerned I think JGFC did give some explanation in his posting.  Summarising what he said it is a term he has used to describe a group of supporters who were very vocal in their criticisms of the Club in the past but “have sold their souls and opinions” and are now very pally with the brothers and are consequently regarded as the true supporters of the club.  This group includes those as responsible as JGFC for the website wars and their continuance.  Like the vast majority of supporters I don’t know what went on behind the scenes in the early days of Wings on the Web and WUISA but I feel sure that therein lies the source of the problems.

I’m sure that the WSU being a closed shop is not a generally held view, indeed at home matches I have heard the announcements about their meetings inviting any supporter to attend.  I believe that they have put a lot time and effort into organising fundraising for the Club and as such should be applauded.  It is, however, a great pity that they haven’t developed their website, published their minutes, and/or set up the email newsletter as they said they intended.  Lack of information makes the situation rife for speculation as to its purpose, its activities and its relationship with the Club.

Harvey, you’ve lost me again I’m afraid.  At the risk of sending you off on one again you really do need to put some meat into your comments or you need to make it clear to what part of a posting you are referring.  If you don’t want to be involved in debate but want to express a view which is limited to one or two words the accepted way of doing this on forums so that we all know what opinion you are expressing is to quote (normally in italic script) the relevant bit of the posting and then add your “Yep”, “Now all you other posters - This is how it is!!” etc.

The brothers to be fair have been been very open this year with their answers when asked a question. As you know bruno when you ask GH about anything to do with the running of the club he is more than happy to talk about it. i think the opinion was within the WSU that it was better to work with them than not. And on the WSU front it has been a good season, with well supported events and fundraising etc.

The WSU site will I am sure come good with time, although we are all volunteers with familys, full time jobs etc, and these things included with event organisation eat into our time.

I will post some pics from the awards night for those that are interested.
