So here goes.  As we have not been able to complete enough games this season to give out a player of the year award, it got me thinking about creating a special award for wings player of the decade 

 

Remember from 2010 we've appeared in two play off finals, a championship winning side, 3 seasons in national league so quite a few highlights with some great players.

 

WUSA will be creating an award and over the next few weeks we are going to give you the opportunity to help create the shortlist.  We need you to have one vote in each of the following:

 

Best goalkeeper of the decade

Best defender of the decade

Best midfielder of the decade 

Best attacker of the decade 

 

We will close the first stage of voting on Sunday 23rd May, this will then shortlist the top 2 keepers, top 3 defenders, top 3 midfielders and top 3 attackers.  When this list is know we will create the final poll to vote for just one winner, this will be announced in the wings bar on Sunday 13th June prior to the England game that day.

 

All players must have made appearances from 1st Jan 2010 until Dec 31st 2019.

Like Pele, Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo, anyone who saw him play will never forget him.....

On serious note I voted Lee butcher for GK, Franks for defender, midfield Healy but could of been him, Clarke, Day or on pure talent Beautyman and Lafayette for striker, close between him and Pugh.

 I voted the same as you. Was torn between Healy and Day but Clarke and Beautyman would be up there. I also liked Alex Dyer, thought he was a very underrated player for us in his short spell.

Good player, but not long enough to be considered.  Overlall winner should be nailed on for a certain someone really.
