Two different XI in each half so difficult to pick anyone out. I think it is as much about seeing those that are clearly not up to it as much as finding out about those who may be good enough..
Folkestone are a decent Ryman Premier outfit with a pretty settled squad and it showed.
The only slight concern i have (and lest we forget it was our first game) was just how easily they scored their three goals.
Need to keep expectations low. Budget will be tiny and when Tonbridge are signing Modeste on amounts that used to be our squad players then we will be working with young untried or unproven players at this level.
Pre season is for Steve and Tristan to try and get a side that will be mid table comfortably. The good thing is they have a pre season to build a squad and work on shape and a method.
We really are bottom three or four in budget so mid table will be a very good finish. As long as they work hard then there's no reason we should be as poor as we have been since Jamie and Steve left us.

If it's true that our budget is one of the lowest in the division then I'd have to question why we haven't raised matchday admission to £15 adults. Most clubs in our division now seem to charge this.

Lets not pretend 99% of people know what our budget will be, and whether were likely to stick to it, let alone what anyone else is budgeting for. How on earth would anyone at Welling United, or a fan of, know the budget and finances of the other 20 clubs? Its simply not possible.
If we do have a bottom end budget. Why is that?

Thought the 2nd half team was mainly better than the 1st half team. Goalkeeper looked decent. In the 1st half thought numbers 2, 8, 10 and 14 were good. In the 2nd half the number 22 stood out and thought numbers 16, 17 and 21 per particularly good. Worst player for me was the number 5
