Anyone know if these have been amended to explicitly state what is the accepted course of action in the event of suspension\cessation induced by Government advice\laws?
Doesn't look like it yet but the recent AGM statement mentions a contingency is being discussed.
The National League has continued to assess the likely impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the 2021/22 season. All clubs have been surveyed for their views on the potential implications which could arise during the course of the next campaign. The AGM attendees were informed the season will not begin without spectators or suitable grant funding. A contingency is also being discussed, should the season not be completed in its entirety. The League will be meeting with clubs to finalise these arrangements.
The League also recognise that there is still disquiet from many clubs in a number of areas and the League are committed to meet with all clubs to address these issues in the very near future.

So, in essence, another likely fudge to get things started and, I suspect, no clarity on who would decide or what the criteria are that may lead to the season not being completed in its entirety.
To paraphrase, 'fool me twice, shame on me....'
In that climate, why wouldn't you use the smallest budget you think you can get away with.
I think there will be a few clubs spending money regardless of what might happen with any further lockdowns especially as restrictions will be lifted soon. A gamble but the chances of the league finishing looks much more promising than it did several months back.
The league has a new chairman so hopefully that will help as he can't be worse than before.

Never, ever, presume until they have clearly demonstrated their competence that someone capable of climbing the greasy pole of anything remotely political (which football administration is) is indeed compentent in their chosen field.
The underlying legislation, as I understand it, unless repealed, is in force until next March. With the evidence to date, logically or not, I can't share your confidence.
After the last year I see where you're coming from but the vaccines, the amount of jabs, the lower fatality rates, the lockdown being lifted soon, it does fill with much more confidence than at anytime since March 2020.

It fills YOU with more confidence. It might with me if the world had demonstrated it was capable of being reasoned and logical over the last 18 months, which is what your above argument is predicated on.
You are right. Ive based my outlook on whats happened in the past, and now with the vaccine roll out and also the mistakes that hopefully everyone has learnt from, including our league board. My biggest concern will be when a squad gets hit with covid and they have to postpone a game or two. We are not starting the season until 14th August and trying to fit in the games will be a problem. Still cant understand why our league didnt start a few weeks earlier.

I'm amazed about the absence of early season midweek games. They could have put some in until the cups started.
