A very bad day at the office today. Awful defending for the first two goals, and then just as we get back into the game, a moment of madness from Bradley Pearce who failed to clear the ball, gets turned by the striker and then gets sent off. Really poor.

We were told at the meet the manager night that the players would be fit and committed and we've not seen that today. Several players are not fit enough and some players today looked like they would rather have been anywhere else. We may not have the biggest budget in the league and we won't have the best players which I have no problem with, but 100% commitment and effort is the bare minimum.

I'm all for creating a bit of atmosphere in the bar, however blasting Ska music out at a ridiculous volume when people are trying to chat is bizarre. Playing it as background music, great. However at 5.37pm, he's playing to just the bar staff as everyone has either moved outside, or left the ground to escape it. Needs a re-think.

Will be interesting hear the interview....There is only so many times Lovell can talk about fitness and 'we will get there'

I thought Hungerford would be a game to get points but if we can't do that then St Albans and Dartford look pretty tough

Me and my son have held season tickets for the past 6/7 years.
In all that time we have witnessed some great players and team performances.
Today was the worst I think we have ever witnessed.
Bar our No12, that has to go down as the worst performance we have witnessed.
The whole team is *hit.
The team we played were *hit, yet they won comfortably
That gives you an idea (for those who werent there) how *hit we are.

If true that we are training once a week then we are in trouble. How do you improve fitness, tactics, set pieces etc while only training once? How do we never learn this lesson

After that miserable afternoon Im so glad I didnt go for a season ticket this time, the first time in 20 odd years.

The opposition were nothing special but we were so poor they looked good!

Add to that the low crowd numbers so no atmosphere and a £5 burger that was burnt, but barely warm, and went in the bin, and it was a rotten afternoon all round.

This is a first,I'll be more positive than a few. We do have a few individual decent players, they ain't all ****.
But what they do lack is fitness and leadership. You cannot train once a week and be ready for a new season, what's laughable about it is we then have Craig Lewis telling them how to warm up on the side of the pitch!

We are very amateur in our setup and I would expect more from a manager who has managed at league level.

I got soaked today walking the dog and thought the day couldnt get any worse. However...... I have supported this club for many many years now but todays squad is bordering on the worst I have seen. I am not an Football aficionado ( Ill leave that to others) but I was lost by the team selection, the tactics and the performance we saw. We are sadly lacking in the centre of defence ( and appear to have no back up defence at all). Todays midfield was non existent and up front nothing to write home about. We have two new signings and they were mediocre to say the least. Mr Lovell says we will give anybody in this league a game. On present performances I beg to differ, nobody will be afraid of Welling United FC. Finally, Mr Packman the worst referee I have seen in watching senior level football for 60 years now, he has given controversial decisions against us for the last 3 years, which makes you wonder!!! However, he was not responsible for the performance today and whilst I respect the financial limitations Mr Goldberg should reflect upon this at his leisure.

I was thinking of going today but a 200 mile round trip when I thought this might happen didn't seem like fun....we need to get some semblance of a team quickly otherwise we will be so far adrift it will be impossible to recover. There is still time right now but it will soon run out....

I think this is fair there are some players in there.  But I also agree tactically it was shoddy and yet again there are players who are unfit and not good enough for what is in reality division 6 of the English football system.

Training once a week is embarrassing.

Goldberg doesn't care.  Lovell and the bald bloke his mates

I thought today was very poor, certainly not helped by Mr Packman who has to be the poorest ref, consistently season after season. I thought Che Krabbendam and Huseyn Biler were decent today.

Anyone know where or season long Arsenal loanee Tom Smith is?

I used to get food at the ground most weeks, but refuse to pay £8 for a poor cheeseburger and fries.

Only plus for me today was the upstairs bar selling rolls!

Packman was late as he was unaware that there is traffic on the A2 on Saturdays.

After this weekend closure at Bean a section Canterbury/Dover is to be closed from September for 8 weekends. Another excuse for Les Frenchies not to play.

Maybe its just me but Im not bothered in the slightest if the referee was a little late, or about the inner workings of the A2.

The club is in a f**king mess on and off the field. Anyone thinking otherwise is a moron.

What Id really like to know is,

- What is this budget everyone says is low, and how do they know its low? Is our budget broadcast somewhere that I am unaware of? If people know its low, from a club source, please share it with us all. If its from the WUSA rep, please share it with the WUSA members. If its not from a club source, then I assume its just guess work?
- Interesting comments before about who owns the lease. Who owns the lease please? And who therefore owns the club? Can the owner inform us. If not, can the club director inform us. Statement of fact. Should be a simple answer.
- If the players, as some say, want to train twice a week, why arent we, and if they arent earning enough to commit to twice a week, why are they asking to do so anyway?

The club has never had a huge fan base. Its had a loyal one, but never huge, and when the regular supporters in the main are staying away, or attending but are extremely unhappy, then something needs to change.

Is WUSA still a thing? If so, how can a new member join. And what are WUSAs plans to sort some of this nonsense out, or is it just a case of sorting out a quiz night every now and again. If WUSA is to serve a purpose on the board, please do so. If it is a supporter group looking to raise funds, why put your efforts in to raising funds to go in to a club that is rudderless and sinking like the Titanic.

Thank you in advance.

You won't get answers ....WUSA is not a credible association in regards to representing the fans. The fundraising and social stuff is excellent, but in terms of speaking up for the fans, with one or two blokes running it, making all the decisions, and setting the agenda ....

For WUSA to be funding players after one match has been played shows the dire straits the club is in.

Who owns the lease to the ground?
