There's been a lot of comments over the last few months about the club and what's happening (Including by myself) and we have arranged a meeting with Mark Goldberg at PVR next Wednesday 29th September starting at 7.30pm.
The invite is to WUSA members only, with non members able to submit questions by emailing me at Deanshulver@gmail.com. these questions will not be seen by Mark prior to the meeting.
I know what the response to the WUSA members only invite will be and I'm afraid these are the circumstances for now. Please email me if there are any questions or queries.

And on the night in question, lets try n keep it civilised and not enter into a hostile verbal slanging match. otherwise I don't think MG will ever agree to a meeting again..
As per the message above, MG will not see them prior to the meeting.
I can't guarantee all questions will get asked, I think it will be a question of how much time will be available on the night after questions from the floor, but I would hope that most if not all submitted in advance are asked, especially ad there will be some duplication I'm sure!

This is a positive move - if non members can post questions, I am assuming there will be some kind of write up to follow for all fans to access?
I don't begrudge it being WUSA only in attendance but in the interests of showcasing what membership can bring it might be worth publishing the transcript within reason.
How did it go? As someone effectively barred from attending despite a 37 year attendance record, Id love to know the news from the evening from those in attendance.
Pleased to hear flyers were handed out about the money spent on the car park - a key issue for all Welling fans I am sure.

As the supporters club members are only a small percentage of the regular supporters who turn up to home matches, it would be good to have some general feedback, allbeit edited, so that we can all know whats planned, or not.

I agree that the club should put more news out on the meeting, pvr plans and general stuff surrounding the club. Not just for the fans who attend but the fans who can't make it to games, moved away, have a general interest in local football etc.

The plan is to record something for the next Radio Wing's podcast so that we can let the fans know what was said regarding the team, ground development etc etc
Have the development plans been submitted to Bexley Council or do the plans have to be submitted to the GLA. I checked the Bexley planning portal and I could not see any recent planning applications from Welling United.
Apologies, I've been meaning to post some updates but work has taken over the last few days.
Minutes were taken and will be sent to WUSA members, I didn't get that many questions on email but those who did will get sent the answers to their questions when I get the minutes.
From memory
The Planning designs seen were designs from a year ago, however the pack did contain a document from a meeting with the GLA in late April this year where the GLA had backed the development as the benefits outweighed the negatives with the development having affordable housing etc. MG thought that planning application would be in within 6-9 months and he hoped it would be built in 3 years.
Mark has put £657,000 into the club since he took over, with only the last £120k as a directors loan, the rest as a donation. He called himself a F***in idiot for taking over from Steve King but when asked why he let King go, he replied that the club wouldn't be in existence now if King and the budget we had then was still in place, and that he worried about finding the money each week to put into the playing budget.
MG has spent I think it was 15k on creating more room in the car park and I think that generated around 13k as of the meeting. He also said that the club have agreed a deal with We Buy Any Car that brings an additional 13k into the club per annum.
Matt challenged MG about the state of the park end terracing saying that something urgent had to happen otherwise the end would be condemned in the next ground grading. If that's the case then our capacity could be compromised and we could be relegated. Matt said that there was potential funding available to support this project and that it could be done in conjunction with the installation of a 4G pitch.
Football wise he said that ultimately Steve Lovell was the wrong appointment and that he thought in Peter Taylor we had a much better manager to take things forward. He also said that there were two players due to sign before tomorrow's game. I think he said one had signed already but I'm not sure if we've not announced them to have an element of surprise for tomorrow's game.
Mark said contrary to speculation he's never had a formal offer for the club and would accept a sensible one if supporters didn't want him to stay. He also said that the lease to PVR which is currently owned by Barry and Barrie Hobbins was in the process of being transferred over to Welling United CIC and not Mark himself.
I'm sure there's plenty more, I just can't remember off the top of my head!
