No reason we can't get a win tomorrow, they are of similar position if not worse off than us budget wise, they have a squad full of players who haven't played NLS level and are less experienced than what ours is.
Only two players of note, 1 being Alfie Payne and the other Preston Edwards who has missed their last 2 games because of injury, shame if he misses tomorrow as he's quite easy to wind up!

Problem is Preston normally has a blinder against us.

To say we rode our luck is a massive understatement. But a WINS a WIN. The occasional passage of decent football from us but very occasional. We defended well overall and they didnt cause to many heart stopping moments. Well done to all the squad. I hope the person carted away recovers. I see they had the defibrillator on hand. Not sure if they used it in the end.
Backs to the wall performance, but a great defensive display meant our keeper didn't have to pull off any great saves. Great to get the win, and even better to see us in 14th place now.
Thought we were solid, even when pressed in the second half. You could see how Hugo and Peter had set the team up as a much more organised side, who could manage the lead and come away with three points. More of this please!
I want to give a mention to Bradley Pearce. I know Aaron Barnes won MOTM but I thought Bradley was immense today. There is certainly no lack of effort or commitment from him. Throws his body on the line time after time. Not sure how old he is. Im guessing hes pretty young but he will get better and better over time as he gets more experience.

Backs to the wall job in the second half and it has to be said that a decent opposition would probably walked away with three points. Our current manager may have been an England manager and I am only a Welling United supporter, however, taking off Krabbendam (soon after he came on) leaves me mystified, as Carr did very little all game ( albeit without much supply) and looked to be the ideal candidate to be hooked. However, that having been said, I thought the defence was much more organised and stood up to everything that Braintree threw at them, the keeper was secure, and, in the end, we had ended up with three points which is all that matters. Lets keep it up.

In three words I can sum up everything i've learnt in life; it goes on.
As said above, a win is a win, it wasnt pretty but its 3 points so credit to the team. When given the chance they did play some good football, just need more of that. We also need to get the keeper to stop kicking the ball straight out of play.
Poor game but 3 points. Maybe the subs were partly due to injury? Awful game but lets not forget we have had awful games before and been spanked. Going in the right direction.
Good 3 points considering the performance, defended in the box well but the rest was woeful, any other team would of smashed us 4 or 5 - 1. But these are the games we most certainly need to win and we did, somehow.
Few things,1 - where was Kristian Campbell? I say this as not only was he not even at the ground but Che Enzonolim was the worst player on the pitch, can't defend, can't pass, has no positional awareness and not the player I'd want to replace Campbell.
2 - Brad Stevenson, not been a bad player so far this season. But what on earth was he doing yesterday! A complete passenger. Dropped last week, maybe he's told Taylor "well play me up front and I'll do better". Certainly not the case as for 40 minutes I forgot he was on the pitch. Should of swapped positions with Krabbendan when he came and then both might of had a little more effect on it. Which leads on to........
3 - Krabbendan, now I don't know why he didn't start, but to bring him on only to take him off 35mins later after playing him out of position is a bit harsh, I've heard the explanation of it in Gavins interview and ok fine, but ar least put your arm around him when he come off and explain, instead he walked straight past him without even looking at him.
I don't think Taylor knows what our best formation is or players as yet but it's not 3 at the back, the defence ain't good enough and full backs not quick enough to recover and going forward no width and to easy to stop.
Pepe is another one who needs to be replaced, as someone said to me yesterday, if he's a footballer so am I. But now we have Teddy Perkins leaving on crutches so will have to see what happens.
It would be great to see Saunders-Henry get some game time now he's back 'thought he'd left tbh as not seen him for weeks' not played since he came on and scored
And Karlan Hinds has left which is no loss whatsoever, hopefully the boost the budget money goes to someone a bit more interested next time!
3 points, yes it wasn't great and especially in the second half but I thought we defended magnificently with players literally throwing themselves in front of the ball.A well taken goal by Ade Shokunbi (who's my player of the season so far) but we desperately needed a second and despite having a few counter attacks in the second half we couldn't seem to make that final pass and play broke down. So 3 points and im happy with that as we need to climb up the league so I'll take scrappy victory's for now. Looking forward to Hemel away next week and with 2 home games after that we could hopefully get in the top half of the league
