Todays 50/50 of £148.50 was unclaimed when we closed shop at 5.30

The rules of the draw do state claims should be made within a week. However we will accept claim upto start of next league home game on 4th December.  If claim is not made by then under our rules the prize money is donated to the WUSA charity of the season which is the same as the club Marlborough Park School.

Out of interest how is the WUSA / Club charity selected?

I believe the club choice is made by the Community Officer making a suggestion to the board. A couple of years ago it was Bexley Mind followed by Demelza. This season Marlborough Park School was chosen. For fans who  are not aware this is a special needs school situated in Sidcup. WUSA followed suit by supporting Bexley Mind with the club and we continued with them during the aborted season of 2020/21. As a committee we agreed to support Marlborough Park as well as it seemed silly for club and supporters to have different charities. There is a thank you letter and certificate from Bexley Mind in the club shop. I remember reporting the figure here a while back but cannot remember it now but I know Bexley Mind were over the moon with what the club and fans did.  WUSAs contribution in the past has been having a charity tin in the club shop. Once before the 50/50 was not claimed and after waiting a bit longer than the rules provide the money was put into the Mind tin. I remember it well as this was the smallest ever sale of tickets and was at a psf against Millwall. The charity got £44.
