What a performance. The defence today were nearly flawless, especially the captain, but I still think Chi is out of his depth, even though he showed some decent moments. Alfie Matthews skills were refreshing and exciting and managed to assist the goal. Dipo with another great game, ball control etc. Derry with a much improved performance with the pace and drive to put pressure on players. Only problem, number 11: a bit poor and slow in the attack, but had some good pressing& counterattacking

A good job we won with the other results. I'm afraid we will still need 3 more wins to keep us up. But if we stick together as we did today then we have a chance.

I thought Stevenson was much better in centre midfield today, much better than at left wing.

I liked Stwvenson when he first joined the club and he's made a bigger impact on games in my opinion when he's come off the bench. Not sure why but he doesn't seem the same player since the start of the season.

Like the look of the two loan lads from Bromley and Alfie Matthews. Dipo is waisted out wide though, and needs to play through the middle.

A very important win, next game at Tonbridge is another must win.

What was of paramount importance yesterday was that we won and we achieved this. However, let's not get carried away, the opposition was poor and we have far more difficult matches to come. I haven't seen enough of the new players to offer reasoned comment but felt that the captain/centre half stood out. The krabbendan clone (why did we ever get rid of him) needs to stamp his authority on the game, which seemed to go on around him. Shkombi is a must when he is fit, yet again Stevenson was very hit and miss and what is for sure (IMO) is that Dipo is far more effective down the middle, rather than on the wing. The manager (and owner) will be aware of the results around us and the games we have coming up. It is, therefore, imperitive that we come away from Tonbridge with 3 pts.

Yesterday was all about the points and not the performance. Since the last home game there were six new players in the starting  XI and they are not going to gel overnight! Yes Chelmsford weren't very good but nor were Hemel and nor were Bath and we didn't beat either of them. The more clubs we can drag into this mess the better. We don't play next week (as someone decided to bring the Oxford game forward after we had just lost 0-6 at home in the previous game..) so we could conceivably be bottom before we play again.

However we were sleepwalking towards relegation under the previous manager and personnel. We are at least having a go at changing things and that has to be good.  I like the style of the manager and he won't take any prisoners and, if that upsets a few players, then tough! This is a semi professional football club and not a Sunday League outfit and needs to be run as such on and off the pitch.

Of the new players I thought the two centre halves did well especially the new skipper. The keeper was solid in what he had to do and I think the young lad from Bromley Sablier will be a very good player in time and they will all improve after a few training sessions and maybe a practice game or two..?? Still think we need to be better in certain positions and I don't like Dipo out wide personally. However they all put a shift in yesterday and they all showed full commitment which I think had been missing in the last couple of games...??

Let's get behind the manager and players over the coming weeks and hope we have enough time to get ourselves out of this mess.

Up the Wings!

On yesterday's showing I'd say they have more chance of relegation than ourselves , having now lost 6 in a row and a tough run in they were absolute toilet and whilst we wasn't great we had a few promising performances from new individuals to build on.
Although not great viewing if we do end up bottom next week it's decent timing to allow the squad a few extra sessions before Tonbridge and could be a blessing.
