last time we scored 3 away to Eastbourne was the season we won the league. Made me realise how some of us really may have taken us getting to the NL for granted. What a team we had in 12/13
I walked out at 3-1. This is the first season in 35 years where I have left early numerous times (Dartford at home, Ebbsfleet away etc). We were so poor first half, I feel justified. But fair play the team getting back in it BUT dont put yourself in that position in the first place!! So frustrating. Dipo is a shining light amongst some very lacklustre performances

We lost 7-3 there in recent years.
Was only checking BBC for scores, and couldn't believe my eyes ....three all! Wow.
That point could be worth all other points from the season.
I'm not taking back my previous comment. Welling never improved, EB threw it away. Dipo being an opportunist saved us. What a point.
Have to agree with that..
Whilst a comeback from three down shouldn't be scoffed at it was more a case of Eastbourne throwing it away..
We were absolutely abject in the first half and the second and third goals we conceded wouldn't have looked out of place on a Sunday morning. Dipo apart too many of them don't appear to care enough. Welling supporters are a tolerant bunch in the main but they can't abide wasters and people who don't put in the required amount of effort.
I hope we can take the momentum from the last few minutes into Monday but the application and performance will need to be 10x better than it was yesterday to get any sort of positive result.
Totally agree with the previous post, Dipo single handedly got us that result.
Give the bloke another years contract purely on his effort.
It is this simple, no Dipo, no conference south.
I think the recent form of Dipo has been nothing short of amazing, before Christmas I said he was definitely on the way out as he was literally struggling around the pitch ,but he's changed his diet and put in extra training. The results speak for themselves ,hes a completely different player BUT he needs to be playing in the middle up front. I dont want to be to critical but Dipo is by far the best option in the middle at the present time. Obviously delighted to get a point from being 3 down but im still really concerned for Monday. We need to get at them from the start, get in thier faces n put a few challenges in to set the tone otherwise I dread to think what might happen

Dorking ain't against getting in the other teams faces themselves. What could help us is our terrible pitch, they like to zip the ball about the ground at home on their 3G but almost impossible on ours. As for Dipo yes, outstanding. If we are lucky enough to have him next year the rest of the team should be built around him being in the middle up top and how best to utilise that.
All you guys have it summed up. It was just a crazy game and all credit to Wings for turning round an abject first half into a committed second half, for never giving up, and for - frankly - gratefully accepting a couple of gifts from the home side. When you set up with 5 - 4 - 1 I was gritting my teeth for a dire 0-0. How wrong can we be. When Eastbourne were cruising - and missing good chances to extend the lead but they thought it didnt matter - I was gloating. How wrong could I be...
It's why we love this game and why we're all addicted. Best of luck for your Great Escape. Your best plan is probably that Danny Blanchflower line. "Equalise before the other team score."
