Fairytale of the cup and they'll be up for it nothing to lose etc...but.
This Fisher side are awful, bottom of the Scefl league, 2 point from 5, be professional, do what we've been doing and we should be absolutely fine, if we score in 1st 10mins they will crumble.

I watched Phoenix v Fisher on Wednesday and Fisher were a team that had a good workmate and were a big side, but weren't the most talented. The keeper looked suspect and the central midfielders were tough tackling but struggled to take control of the ball and they were by-passed by the defenders most of the time. The wingers and attackers were lively but not threatening. A certain Andy Pugh gave Fisher the run around and scored a well taken goal. We should win this, but need a strong side and pressure the keeper as the weak link.

If you look at Fisher's results they are better than the bottom of the table position suggests. They have played in the league 5 times, had two 1 - 1 draws, lost two matches 1 - 0, and had a 2 - 1 defeat, so are quite tight and if lose only lose by one goal. I haven't seen them play, but their results suggest what 50p head says, they are solid, but lack strength in attack. But they have got this far in the cup, so have shown they can be a winning side. But hopefully it will be a match where our greater levels of fitness help us progress the longer the match goes on. I am really looking forward to seeing what team Warren puts out for this, as I presume he will play some non regular starters, so will be really interested to see how they do, and how well they take their chance to grab his attention.

Live commentary is only done for away games. Only time at home if away team does it or BBC turn up to cover away team.

Sorry but starting 4-4-2 against a side like that was wrong.
They were no mugs and we ended up playing to their level.
A few of our side cannot play ball to feet football, and that was disappointing.
Why not show you mean business and go 4-3-3 with the Greek lad starting.
Get yourself comfortable, then change the side.
Not the other way around.
If that game had another 90 minutes, we still wouldnt have got a result.
Oh well, a journey down to Millwalls 2nd eleven awaits for next week.

Very disappointed today at the performance. The attitude was all wrong for me. It took me back to the Worthing and Chelmsford game with lots of hoof ball and a big centre half cleaning it up easily. When we got the ball down and got it wide we looked dangerous. It also felt like a group of individuals who were trying to do too much themselves instead of picking simple passes.

Credit to Fisher who played well and deserved the result, arguably the deserved more with a few great chances at the end.

At least there's a chance to put it right on Tuesday, but there needs to be a much improved performance. It could be worse I suppose, we could have lost to Beckenham at home like the little club up the road.

I was predicting us to win 2 -0 or 3 - 0 with late goals, but today felt a mix of them raising their game, or us dropping ours, or a mix, as we made lots of chances, and it felt as though normally at least one would have gone in, but they defended soundly, and the draw was a fair result for both teams. The attack seemed more focussed when Antony came on to link up behind the strikers. I was really interested to see what team Warren would choose, a team of regular starters, or a team with a mix of regular starters and less frequent starters, with regular starters coming on as subs if needed. In the event we went with regular starters and it turned out a sound decision, as Fisher were clearly in the mood to cause a cup upset, so we needed to respond decisively. Four South Division teams got knocked out today, so at least we are still in and have another chance to progress in the replay, as Fisher had chances, so could also have won this one. Well done to Fisher, they deserve a lot of credit for their positive approach, and an interesting puzzle for Warren to work out how to improve in the replay.

I thought we dominated the 1st half but didnt bother their keeper. Maloney was on the ball causing plenty of promising situations. 2nd half was all long ball. Maloney hardly touched it. Why we reverted to their style is beyond me. They must of thought this is just like SE Counties league. The key to playing these games is to keep the ball. Play to your strengths. Work as hard as you would normally. Bashing the ball at 100mph to Ade Azeez with his back to goal isnt playing to his strength or Stef Payne for that matter. Very disappointing today.

Firstly, we'll played Fisher they had a job to do and they did it very well. Although the service they got was very poor, the Fisher defence totally snuffed out the threat of Azziz and Payne. We were inept in the middle of the park and it is not fair to pick anyone out, the whole side (with the exception of the goalkeeper) needs to look at their performance. IMO the side could very much have done with a Nzala type to run at the opposition down either of the wings. I am sure that Warren instilled in the side that we have no right to go through by the right of our elevated position, perhaps he needs to re-enforce that again. We have a history of going out to lower opposition in this round, however, we have the opportunity to put that right on Tuesday(?) night.

Think Wallop's comment sums up why Welling only drew.

Lack of respect for Fisher who are a great club in their own right. Assume Welling will win the replay and you could get embarrassed.

Go there with the right attitude and Welling will win.

There was no lack of respect. Complacency most probably yes, but a lack of respect certainly not.

Ill admit I got emotional reading out the piece before the minutes silence, a very special moment yesterday. The ladies team will be doing the same in about 15 minutes

Really disappointing performance all round yesterday - a simple case of complacency and hopefully that's the kick up the backside needed for the replay. Score early in the replay and I'm sure things will be different but we need to be much more 'at it' from the start. Hopefully Warren has got them fired up for the return

Turning it over the day after, as the match went on it just felt like one of those days that wasn't going to go our way, like happens in sport. They clearly came to defend, when they had corners they kept three players back to defend against our one player up the field, but although they are bottom of their league they have only let in six goals in five games, so as our match too showed they are ok defensively.

This is our third game in a row where we havent conceded, which is four and a half hours of football, so there are positives to be taken from the Fisher game.

This is only our nineth competitive game with this team, so I think Warren and the team will still be trying new things out like the direct route up to Ade, and seeing what works best and what doesn't. The direct route didnt really work against Chelmsford or Fisher, whereas play on the wings has repeatedly worked for the Wings.

I really like Antony's link up play with our strikers, and thought we looked much more dangerous in attack when he was on, and would like to have seen players closer to Ade so he could lay it off to them, as possibly we were playing too deep, leaving him isolated, but it was a high energy game, hopefully we will prove fitter than them in the replay just four days after this game and improve things that weren't quite working in this game, when it just wasn't our day.

Love the positive changes from the pitch relay, last season the players kicked the ball high to avoid passing on the bumpy surface, now it is played on the pitch, and play is miles better as a result.

We have drawn Weymouth away in the FA Cup Third qualifying round, so let's hope we have learned lessons from Saturday and get them right in the Fisher replay, as I would fancy us against Weymouth, but I can guarantee Fisher will also be fancying their chances against Weymouth, so let's just win tonight, then we can think about Weymouth... and no thinking that if we beat Fisher and Weymouth we are one qualifying round away from the First Round...

Well taken opener from the edge of the box.
Pretty comfortable from there on.
The Greek lad up front for Payne, run his socks off.
Deserved victory.

The Greek Lad who ran his socks off name is Antony Papadopoulos. Show him a bit of respect and at least bother to address him by his name.

I had predicted we would beat them 2-0 or 3 - 0 with late goals, and looking at the difference between the two games against Fisher, in retrospect we were maybe a bit complacent in the first match, so didnt play with our usual intensity and pace, or fully attack as a team. These lessons were learned and ironed out in the replay, and there are lots of pleasing things out of the game, the fact two of our goals were scored by midfielders and the other by a defender shows how we attacked as a team. Our fourth clean sheet in a row means we have now gone over six hours without conceding, and we have now won our last four away games, achievements by Warren and the team that would have been unbelievable in past seasons. Four Vanarama South teams got knocked out by lower opposition this round, so it is great we have moved on to hopefully a straightforward tie against Weymouth, though as Fisher showed it is a mistake to be complacent in seeming easier ties.

What I like so much about Warren and the team is the intelligence, so mistakes made are quickly learned from, and why we have constantly improved through the season.

Train strike on Sat 1st, Southwestern trains not running at full capacity, if at all. I assume a coach will be arranged, but that is a trek in one day. Look for a hotel and drive it is then.

I'm looking at a coach but most companies are either not available at this motive or the cost is crazy.

I'm still working but I fear the cost and only 10 days to the game means this is going to be very difficult.
