With a train strike looking to go ahead on the day of this game, I'm looking at other options to make this game...other than driving.
Tube on the district line from Central London is one, but still got to get to Victoria or Charing Cross for Embankment etc...suppose Queen Elizabeth line from Abbey Wood maybe not affected by the strike to get into town etc...
Are the tubes running as normal or coming out in sympathy with the overhead trains?
If you can get to Richmond it's a half hour or so bus ride to Hampton I believe?
I know when I travelled to Hemel Hempstead recently when there was a train strike the trains are very few & far between & finish very early around 4 or 5pm .

The Hampton website has the helpful guidance in their match preview, "For away fans looking to get to the Rocket Hospitality Beveree Stadium from Welling, there will be a train strike on Saturday with the nearest served stations being Hounslow and Feltham.
Alternatively, the R68, 111 and 216 busses are also available from Richmond and Kingston."

Very kind of H&R however according to Southwestern trains Feltham will be closed tomorrow. Also last trains from Hounslow are at 17.20 and 18.00

Google maps are suggesting it's not too bad. Train to London Bridge, Jubilee Line to Westminster and then District to Richmond. Followed by a bus or can to the ground.
If the trains stop running early as expected then its back to the o2 via the jubilee line or crossrail to Abbey Wood.

We are looking at the possibility of going to Esher station. It's the same distance from the ground (@ 3 miles) as Hemel Hempstead's ground from the station. Getting back will be more of a challenge due to the early stoppage of trains.
Anyone making this match by public transport deserves a medal! Anyone getting back by public transport deserves another one! But it will be worth it, my infallible fortune telling magic crystal ball tells me we will win 2 - 1.
Anyone who travels and wants a lift to a local (to Hampton) station, seek me out tomorrow. I can't offer a lift back to Welling as I will be going back home south of Guildford, but I can at least help out getting you to an open railway station such as Richmond or Esher.
