Well following last week's debacle, Bath look big at evens.
Just can't bring myself to have a lump on Bath, as you just never can guess what you're getting when Welling are up against a decent side.
Looks like it might be a bit nippy, so the winter coat will make an appearance.

Bath look quite inconsistent, at home P 8 W4 L4 and sometimes get good results against higher placed teams, but also lose to lower placed teams. We are also inconsistent, so with two inconsistent teams playing each other who knows what will happen, if I had to guess it may be another Slough with both managers happy with a draw. We lost our last game against Weymouth, and so far this season have never had back to back losses, so fingers crossed we get something out of this game.

Decent point tonight, unlucky to lose Azeez and Kassarate before half time which meant we had to shuffle the pack.

The goal we conceded was a shocker from the officials. Maloney was clearly fouled right in front of the linesman however nothing was given. He showed the lino and ref the stud marks on his left while the Bath players celebrated.

Cracking strike from Maloney though for the goal, and Sendles White had a fantastic game at centre half.

I still think we need a winger or someone with pace in the middle. With a few players heading out the door, hopefully one or two will be coming in.

Good point, up the Wings. Now just the small matter of a 3 hour drive home. Thanks Sherpa!

Thank you to everyone that tuned in, apologies for the difficulties in identifying the Bath players, the numbers on their backs are literally impossible to see from a distance

This league is quite evenly matched, so it is odd to think that despite us only winning 1 of our last 12 league games we are still just 6 points off a play off spot approaching half way through the season, the 7 points we've got from our 7 draws in that run are keeping us sort of in touch. From the commentary it sounds as though Chi was very busy attacking in the game, and Taylor is starting to score regularly, and it is so interesting to see who emerges as key players as the season goes on. So looking forward to Tuesday's home game and the next chapter of this unpredictable roller coaster of a season!

So 2 injured and out for a while (Azeez and Kassarate) and one player left (Simpson?), we need to get some pace on the wing and a striker (or 2). Hopefully someone in for Tuesday or at the latest Saturday as we need 2 wins.

So Tom Dickens leaves and I heard Jay Simpson is no longer around. I am hoping to see some fresh faces entering the building as we head into tomorrow's game with one out and out striker.

It's good to consider positives as well as negatives to get a balanced view. Bath have posted match highlights on YouTube | Bath City v Welling United | 3rd December 2022 | National League South and it shows a real positive, as Taylor Maloney's goal was one of our best so far this season. I'm no fan of Medy Elito, but he did some really skilful play on the wing to make his pass to Taylor, and then a great strike from Taylor. Knowledgeable fans here, once again a step ahead of the manager, quote rightly complained about the long ball clearances. This goal shows how right they were, as it was scored from a careful passing out of defence, with 9 passes leading to the goal. Well worth a look. I'd be interested to see Taylor play as an out and out striker, as he strikes me as another player being played in the wrong position. We've now drawn 8 out of 20 league games, but I fancy us for a 2 - 1 win against Farnborough. Or a draw!

Defo a foul 6 minutes in (www.youtube.com/watch) then lucky with the deflection off of our defender.

That foul on Maloney (studs up challenge) might have been a red on another day as refs in this league love to dish out cards. Saying that Howard should have gone for a second yellow before being subbed. The standard and consistency of referring is appalling.
