I had a look at the highlights on the Aldershot site, and posted the following comment on the YouTube highlights, "These highlights are misleading and biased. In the first half Welling had Amadou Kassarate heading over from a Taylor Maloney free kick, Ezennolim shot just wide of the near post. In the second half Payne had a shot that went wide and Maloney hit a post and also shot over the bar and Nkrumah got into a shooting position, but the misleading highlights don't show a single Welling attack."
I remember when I started posting on the forum I was a bit critical of the way poor performances were written up without too much focus on the poor play. But on reflection I realised match write ups can be quite influential on readers, so being quite critical may possibly work against the team, so with that perspective match reporting has to strike the right balance. The rather pathetic and misleading Aldershot channel approach is to totally overlook any weaknesses in their team, so it makes the overall fair and balanced Welling coverage all the better in comparison.
It wouldn't be a surprise if Aldershot take down the comment from YouTube, as they clearly can't handle the idea that they have to deal with opposition, and that is all part of football.
