I hope it is postponed, that would give us any players unavailable tomorrow through injury.

Is there a pitch inspection due tomorrow, it seems sensible to have one.

(In between the lines... tactically postpone this if possible!!!)

At the last home match the pitch was finally showing the impact of the heavy load it carries from three teams playing on it, and training on it, lots of earth now showing, probably sand too, less grass, so it is good news we are nearly at the end of the season so the grass can benefit from some sun and warmth, and be refreshed. The ground staff have done a fantastic job of keeping it shipshape throughout the season with games pretty much once every three/ four days to deal with.

Last season nearly every visiting manager moaned our pitch was not fit for this league, it has been nice that all stopped this season. Last week was the first time a manager has moaned about our pitch, and even then it was just because he lost, if he'd won I doubt he'd have had any bad comments about the pitch.

If it is played, come on you Wings!

Thought they were back as Kai has already done an interview at PVR which is online.

Only have April 25th available without playing 3 games in a week.

I would imagine we would have to forfeit the kent Cup game if today gets called off.

There's rain forecast from 3.00pm onwards, so it isn't just a question of how it is at 10.00, but also how it will be in the match if it rains more. The last week of April is the only time we could fit in a rescheduled match.

The wear and tear on the players after a long season where they have been great and putting in maximum effort for the past months is catching up, so an unscheduled week in between games to rest and recover would be good news.

A couple of other games are already off in our League today. We had 9 players missing for our Chippenham game on Tuesday, so it is good news we now have a chance to get as many back and match fit as possible for these last few games, so we can consolidate our fantastic position! The lucky deflected winner the other day, this timely postponement, luck evens out over a season, so maybe luck is finally turning our way!

Despite Jamison showing his colours by proudly schmoozing with his new best drinking buddy Dartford manager Alan Dowson, (has Jamison NO shame!) he makes a good point about pulling out of the cup competition, as let's say we win against Chatham or Charlton in our remaining cups, or even both, when would we be able to fit in one or more next round matches? So pulling out, to free time for the miles more important league games, may be best.

Mark, I was being a bit tongue in cheek when I said that about our fantastic position, I really laugh when I hear the nonsense that our manager comes up with in his interviews, and it struck me as so funny when he said with a serious face we are not in a crisis and are in a fantastic position, so I was quoting that silly line.

The actual picture is quite different, last season we stayed up with one game to go, this season we are sort of 7 points above relegation - 6 points above it with a better goal difference of only -11 goals, so kind of like an extra point we have compared to most below us, so just wondering how many games we will have left before we know our fate.

Dover got a very good away win today, which lifts them above us, Slough drew, Dulwich, Taunton and Weymouth all lost, and 3 teams below us postponed their games with waterlogged pitches! So not much ground lost today with the 5 relegation teams that played today.

Concord, Weymouth and Hungerford still look most likely to go down, if so it then looks like it is us, Slough, Taunton Dulwich and Cheshunt all trying to avoid ending 4th from bottom, but Tauntons games in hand may help them, leaving us, Slough, Dulwich and Cheshunt in danger. Dulwich and Cheshunt play each other soon, which is good news for us as one or both will drop points in that game.

Weve played well recently, but despite that have only got 6 out of the last 30 points. As we are only 6 points above relegation it wont be clear until 2 or 3 games to go if we are screwed. Daniel is way more focussed on directly attacking the goal than anyone apart from Ade, so I hope Daniel is the second effective striker we need, as when one looks back on the season one realises we haven't had a consistently scoring striker partner for Ade, and that really held us back. But the team spirit in the Bath game was fantastic, if we can keep at that level for the last 6 games we will be safe - just.
